Just a short drive from the seaside town of Propriano, Bergerie Tisoggiu is certainly a gem. Reached by a steep rough track and perched high on top of a hill, the house has a grassy area to one side and perhaps the most impressive “bird’s eye” view in our collection to the other. Renovated with style and extended from a traditional shepherds’ house, the owners have ensured that the modern additions contrast with the original rustic feel making for a comfortable holiday. Bergerie Tisoggiu has a spacious modern living room with sliding picture windows that lead to a terrace with a dramatic view down the hillside to the Gulf, and a kitchen/dining room with access to a second terrace with the same spectacular setting. Set in the old part of the house, one of the bedrooms has a great view to wake up to and is reached through an original but very low doorway, and the second bedroom has a more modern feel with French windows leading to the garden.

On the eastern side of the Valinco Gulf, Propriano is a working port town but the beaches are a good attraction - Plage du Lido and Plage du Corsaire - and sailing, diving and other watersports are popular here. Situated with a grandstand view over Propriano, nearby Olmeto is a captivating village with an interesting past. What attracts visitors today is the fantastic view of the area from the village's two main streets.
