Casares, is a picture postcard village perched on the side of a precipitous sandstone buttress and is known as the 'hanging village' just a short drive from the beautiful beaches of the south Andalucian coast. This vibrant & historic village will give you a real Andalucía experience, nestling in the hillside with its white painted ‘sugar cube’ houses interlaced by narrow cobbled streets. You will also find a good selection of shops and exceptional restaurants. The beautifully reformed house in the centre of the village comprises a large entrance hall, leading into a spacious TV room. On the first floor a large open plan kitchen, dining room and bathroom, the second floor, 3 bedrooms and a further bathroom. . On top of the utility room is a further spectacular viewing terrace. All rooms with hot/cold air-conditioning. English satellite television provided in both the dining and lounge areas. Swimming pool, tennis court, parking, shops and good restaurants nearby.

Casares, one of the most scenic and photographed white villages in Andalucía, is ideally located to offer something for everyone. From its coastal borders, situated between Estepona and Manilva, the Casares coast offers peaceful beaches and spectacular scenery. 14km inland lies Casares village. Perched high on a hilltop, its whitewashed houses cascade down beneath the remains of a splendid Moorish castle. This is the real Spain; a working village with rich cultural heritage, unspoilt by tourism but central enough to provide an excellent base from which to explore. The village is surrounded by the stunning Natural Parks of the Sierra Bermeja and Sierra Crestellina, with dramatic views at every turn. Whilst the rugged mountains and rolling hills provide natural challenges for hikers, birdwatchers and horse riders, competitive sporting fans can enjoy world class golf courses and polo, as well as fishing, sailing and surfing, all within easy reach of the Casares area.

Beautiful Townhouse!

This townhouse was a combination of old and modern, tastefully blended. You enjoyed the Spanish style with the modern facilities including internet access. It was spacious, clean and well maintained. The owner suggested several places to eat which we thoroughly enjoyed along with some suggested sightseeing that we might not have discovered.
I would highly recommend this to my friends and would certainly stay there again.

Andalucia Heaven - Beautiful house in Casares

We stayed in 10 Calle Fuente, owned by Rona & Adrian, for three blissful weeks last August. What can I say? I would love to have lived there forever.

The house is comfortable, stylish and stunning - everything you need and a designer finish with every little detail taken care of. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds comfy, the neighbours delightful and enjoying a glass of wine on the roof, with all the village sounds around us was a perfect end to a great day.

We loved the village, the quirky little shops, the local restaurants, the lovely clean peaceful municipal pool (it felt like you were getting your daily exercise on the walk back up from that) and exploring the local area.

Don't forget to visit the lovely little beach down the road past Cortesin Golf resort - the water was warmer there than anywhere else we went, full of spanish and the little chiringuita restaurant was heaven on earth.

We also visited the Roman Spa (just south of Casares, on the road to Manilva) which was a bit of an adventure and very unspoilt. Puerto Banus was well worth the drive, with the beach providing some amazing waves and the chiringuitas and stylish on-beach cocktail bars great fun. Walking around the Port shops and looking at the yachts was very aspirational for the children, not least when they spotted a bright pink Hummer - could have been made for Katie Price.

Talking of the teens and pre-teens, they joined in enthusiastically with the town's nightlife, which centres around the pool in the day and the school playground at night. While we enjoyed a glass of rioja in the bar on the square, the kids ran around the town with the locals and had a great time. Casares feels so safe and they loved the freedom.

Driving was a bit daunting at first but we got a great hire recommendation by Rona & Adrian, got loads of use of them and we happily parked in the municipal car park in Casares and walked down the hill to the house each day.

It was a 10/10 experience all round and I'm looking forward to going back! Don't hesitate to book this house!
