"We spent a week in Latour this past July. It was the perfect vacation! There were 6 of us (4 adults; 2 kids ages 1 1/2 and 3).

The house is beautiful, spacious and in a great location to Perpignan, the beach, historical sites, wine region, etc. You do need a car though to get around. (We flew into Barcelona which is about 2 1/2 hours from the town and drove up the coast).

The house is charming. It is rustic yet has all the modern conveniences you'd want. We stayed in one of the bedrooms facing the garden. We had the big bed and our son took the smaller bed. It is pitch black at night and perfect for star gazing. So pretty! Being from Manhattan, it was nice getting away to the country.

Our days consisted of walking to the baker to get fresh croissants and bread in the morning, picnicking and swimming at the river (about 5 minutes from the house) and going to the beach. There's a little playground across the street which was ideal for the kids. We also enjoyed just relaxing at the house. The kitchen/loft area is really nice, so is the garden. Richard, who manages the place, was extremely helpful. He stopped by to make sure we had everything we needed and gave us the inside scoop about the area. One of the most relaxing vacations...cannot wait to return!"

a truly fantastic property

We spent a week here in the summer and had a great time. It's really spacious, got loads of character, is well equipped and the loft style top floor is great for socialising (and for our one year old daughter to crawl around!). The village is gorgeous - really laid back with everything you need within walking distance. The river is great for swimming and picnics whilst the restaurant in the next village is surely worthy of a michelin star.

Our fantastic stay in Latour

My three best girlfriends and I stayed in the house for a week in early September this year. We had a wonderful stay, the house is stunning with large bedrooms, a lovely little garden/courtyard for sunbathing and eating dinner in the evenings, an enormous lounge/kitchen with high ceilings and beams and it is set in a very quaint medieval village with a tiny bakery, two shops and a small restaurant next door.

The local area is surrounded by vineyards, sprawling green fields and it is only 30 mins from Perpignan if you need to do a big shop. There is also a stunning gorge with a great bathing spot only 15mins away and we also did a couple of day trips down the coast to the beach.

I'd highly recommend people to stay in the house, we had an effortless and highly enjoyable stay and I’d definitely go back there.

A super-relaxing vacation spot

Our family really enjoyed staying at this house in La Tour for a week in the summer. It's a wonderful old place that's been modernized and well-maintained. The place is wonderful - neat, clean and smartly decorated. The upstairs kitchen and living area is so roomy and bright.

Most of the time we spent hanging out watching movies, talking or grilling on the patio. But around the area, La Tour offers lots of fun things to do. It's a short distance from the beach and major shopping, yet it feels quite secluded. Across the street is a good-sized park with a playground and benches (this was great for the kids). Just a short walk from the house is the river, where there are some great swimming spots.

We were really impressed and surprised at the place, and we're definitely going back. The owner was super nice and we fell in love with the town and the area.
