Lisbon holiday apartment

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 4 days last week and we both agreed it's an amazing place, unlike anywhere else we have stayed before. First the good points: the view from the roof terrace is incredible both day and night. We had breakfast there most days, taking in the view of Alfama and the river. Its almost magical at night, with a huge church illuminated in the distance. The flat itself is well furnished, is bright, comfortable, modern, everything works, the kitchen is lovely and fully equipped,

The bad points? The bedroom ceilings are low - very low - but even that added to the fun of the place, especially if you wear the crash helmets (seriously!) provided by the owner. Nice touch!

We loved the open plan nature of the flat but that does mean that if you really need privacy it might be a problem. You can move the sofabeds to other rooms though, if you want, so a degree of privacy can be achieved.

The area is perfect for strolling through Alfama and beyond. Lisbon centre is walking distance away. Metro and train stations are five minutes away. There is even a pastelaria right next door, and restaurants all over the place.

I would thoroughly recommend it for a complete, unique experience. We loved being in the centre of Alfama, its like being in the middle of a living museum. That, combined with the modernity of the flat combines to make this an experience not to be missed. Oh, almost forgot, the owner is lovely too - really helpful. Thanks Pedro!
