Le Bijou de Domme is a small self contained property laid out as a studio unit with comfortable accommodation for 2 people sharing. Dating from the 19th century and built of golden stone so typical of the region, it forms part of a small hamlet in a quiet location close to the river Dordogne. Recently sympathetically restored to blend a bright contemporary interior with the charm of the old building it provides the perfect pied-à-terre from which to explore the most beautiful part of the Dordogne valley. Close to canoe hire, golf and good restaurants...lots of beautiful villages and country markets to enjoy. The spacious living area has a comfortable couch which converts to a double bed and there is ample storage space. TV and DVD player. Dining table and 2 chairs. The fitted kitchen is well equipped with fridge, convection/microwave oven, induction hob, ironing facilities. The bathroom has a hydromassage shower. Garden front and back, sunny terraces, off road parking.

Located just a short stroll from the river Dordogne equi-distant from Sarlat and Domme (6km) you will be perfectly situated to explore this wonderful region. Canoe hire available just 100m from the house.There is a small beach just 200m away where you can enjoy swimming in the clean, safe water of the Dordogne...take a picnic or enjoy a glass of local wine at the riverside cafe/bar. The wonderful golf course at Rochebois is 2 km away and all equipment can be rented. Great opportunities for walking and cycling on the many public footpaths and country lanes (bike hire available locally). For a special occasion why not rent a hot air balloon and view the chateaux of the river valley from above? Many local village markets to explore..Cénac on Tuesdays, Domme on Thursdays and Sarlat on Saturdays!
