The manorial located, new Villa Monte e Mar is located in the south, quiet and lonely, between mountains and the sea. Around the house are two spacious terraces, so that everybody finds a quiet place for himself. With a few steps you get to the saltwater pool (5 x 10 m), with a roman stair. The pool runs without any chemical substances. Here you find comfortable couches with garniture, sunshade and an outdoor shower. A further terrace of 60 m2 with a gorgeous view onto the sea is on the first floor.

The about 600 m² large property in attracting hill location has no direct neighbours and is situated 10 km north from Faro. For the daily, small purchases, you find a bakery as well as a mini-market nearby. A typical, Portuguese restaurant is reachable by foot. In a distance of 3 km is the picturesque Estoi with its historical palace from the 18th century and the Roman ruins of Milreu. In Estoi is a small weekly market, restaurants as well as all things of the everyday life, naturally also a pharmacy. In short time you are in the worth seeing old town of Faro or you can enjoy your coffee with view onto the sea and the ships from the market halls of Olhao. Long and broad, sandy beaches you can find in the west and south of Faro or on the offshore islands. You are interested in the worthwhile destinations? Die Villa hat ihren Namen "Berg und Meer" zu Recht. Sie liegt auf einem Hügel und man hat eine traumhafte Aussicht bis zum Meer. Flugzeuge sieht man zwar, aber man hört sie nicht. Außer krähenden Hähnen der mehrere hundert Meter entfernten Nachbarn hört man dort nichts. Man braucht unbedingt ein Auto.
Die Villa und Außenanlegen einschließlich Pool halten, was das Inserat verspricht. Für kleine Kinder, die nicht schwimmen können, allerdings nicht zu empfehlen, weil der Pool nicht eingezäunt und ziemlich tief ist.Wir fanden es sogar noch schöner, als wir es uns vorgestellt hatten. Alles ist sehr gepflegt und sauber. Ein Dank dafür auch an das sehr nette und umsichtige Verwalterpaar. Bei der Ausstattung, insbesondere auch mit Küchengeräten, fehlt es an nichts und alles funktionierte perfekt. Im TV werden alle deutschen Programme angeboten.
Der vorangegangene E-Mailkontakt mit dem Vermieter war sehr angenehm seine Wegbeschreibung war perfekt, wir haben es auf Anhieb gefunden. Leider haben wir ihn nicht persönlich kennengelernt, da er während unseres Aufenthalts an der Algarve gerade in Deutschland war. Ansonsten begrüßt er seine Gäste persönlich.
Zu empfehlen sind Ausflüge in das waldreiche und hügelige Hinterland, nach Tavira, Lagos (Grottenfahrt per Boot) und zum Cabo de Sao Vicente einschließlich Zagres sowie Huelva oder Sevilla in Andalusien. Auch nach Lissabon schafft man es bequem an einem Tag (21/2 Std. leere Autobahn, allerdings rund 40 € Maut). Das fußläufig erreichbare Restaurant ist sehr preiswert und bietet leckeren Fisch an. Ansonsten gibt es in der Villa einen Ordner mit vielen Ausflugs-, Einkaufs- und Restauranttipps.

Wir waren Ende Mai 2008 in Estoi.Es war super Klasse,schöner Pool ,super Ausblick wunderschönes Haus.Wir können es jedem empfehlen,kommen bestimmt noch einmal wieder.Auch der Vermieter ist sehr nett,und gibt auch viele Tipps zur Region.
