Le Crepon is a cosy country cottage in the heart of the Bocage Normand. South facing, and a garden with panoramic views overlooking a beautiful valley. Retaining it's authentic features, the ground floor has a typical french sejour with a granite fireplace and woodburning stove, a bed settee and rocking chairs, also the shower room, and stairs leading to the bedroom which has very comfortable beds, one double and a single (plus cot if required) The village 2kms away has bars, boulangerie, butchers, supermarket etc, and a local recommended restaurant. Perfect location for walking in the woods or countryside, or visiting nearby local markets, picturesque towns,historical sites and waterfalls. Golf, fishing, swimming pools, zoos and theme parks are all within a short distance. Private parking, BarBQue, garden furniture, laundry facilities, and extra wood is available if required, as are bicycles. Linen, towels and welcome pack are included and 15% discount on Brittany Ferry Crossings.

Le Crepon is situated in the beautiful valley of the See, twenty minutes walk into the small town of St Pois, which has most things that you would need for a relaxing holiday. Local markets are held in; Brecey, (10 mins drive) on fridays, Vire (20 mins) with it's lovely town centre and golf and fishing facilities on saturdays, St Hilaire (25mins) picturesque church and lake on wednesdays, and Avranches (30mins) historical centre with gardens and cathedral on saturdays. Mortain is only 15 minutes away with WW2 memorials, abbey and waterfalls where you can have a cooling, invigorating walk. The famous Le Mont St Michel is an hour away and a little further on and you will be in the lovely old walled city of St Malo with tourist interest and beaches. There are wonderful, safe, sandy beaches along the coast to Granville where you can enjoy the old town, visit the casino, shop, swim in the sea or even take a ferry to the channel islands. Theme parks, swimming pools and zoos nearby too.

My wife and I stayed here with our 15 year old son for a week and were very pleased with our stay. We found it easily enough and it only took us an hour and a half to get there from Cherbourg, so we didn't feel that we wasted any holiday time travelling.
The owners live very close by, were friendly and made us feel at home immediately.
The views across the lovely garden to the countryside are beautiful. We would sit in the garden for breakfast and marvel at how far we could see and how quiet it was.
So many lovely old French towns within easy driving distance. We liked Domfront and of course Mont St Michel and would highly recommend a visit to the castle at Fougeres.
A nicely appointed little cottage, well situated for touring the area, and one we would certainly recommend to others.
