A fantastic newly built house in a quiet residential area of Bude but only five minutes' flat walk to the beach at Crooklets Bay. This is a lovely family home for up to eight people. Enjoy preparing meals to delight the family in the incredibly spacious and well equipped kitchen. With Neff appliances throughout, the kitchen is a cook's dream and there is plenty of space for everyone to sit round the family table. There are four bedrooms with two bathroom/shower rooms (one en-suite), the large sized kitchen/diner with adjoining sitting room leading to the patio and secure garden. The house has been built to a very high standard by a highly sought after local builder. With bright, airy rooms and plenty of space both in the living areas and sleeping areas, this is a contemporary house tastefully decorated and furnished by the owners. The garage has plenty of space for wetsuits, surf boards, bicycles and all your beach gear.

Bude offers good shopping, a good array of restaurants and pubs. Splash swimming pool has a flume and health suite, and there is a leisure complex for bowling and indoor play. Boats can be hired on Bude canal and there is windsurfing, sailing, kayaking (either just hire or book lessons) at Lower Tamar Lake. We have an arrangement with the local Links course, Bude and North Cornwall, for our guests and there are good courses at nearby Holsworthy, St Enedoc and the Jack Nicklaus designed St Mellion. Widemouth Bay is considered one of the best surfing beaches in the area and we can arrange lessons for beginners and improver's. Bude has two superb beaches, Summerleaze and Crooklets, both ideal for bathing and surfing and Bude has one of the few remaining sea pools in the country which is perfect for youngsters when the waves are a little fierce. Lifeguards patrol most beaches and the pool throughout the summer months. There are outdoor pursuit centres, tennis, squash, horse riding and more

Had a wonderful time staying at this fab house in August 2009. We were a party of 8 (4 adults and 4 kids) and the house felt really large and airy and was spotless when we arrived. The kitchen diner was particularly well fitted out and a great place for everyone to sit and eat together. It's in a perfect location about 2 minutes walk from a great surfing beach and 5 minutes in the other direction into Bude town with lots of shops and cafes. We also really appreciated the huge attached garage where we could dump all our sandy beach gear each day keeping it out of the house.

There are lots of really lovely restaurants in Bude our favourites were Life's a Beach at Summerleaze, and for a special treat The Castle Restaurant, both have wonderful views over the canal and the surf at Summerleaze Beach and are within easy walking distance from the house.

We didn't use our car at all for the first week as there was so much to do in Bude itself. There are two beaches in Bude - Crooklets and Summerleaze, great for surfing but there is also a lovely sea pool which is perfect for swimming and crabbing... our kids spent hours collecting over 40 crabs in one particularly successful afternoon! There is a lovely canal to walk along and you can also hire rowing boats and pedalos.

We did horseriding nearby and also hired bikes along the Camel Trail from Wadebridge to Padstow. We visited Tintagel and Boscastle and then ran out of time, loads more to see and do so we will definitely be back,

Life's a Beach! (in Bude)

Had a lovely few days in this new, beautifully decorated property in Bude. Such easy access to everything you need - 2 beaches, supermarket, shops in town, tennis courts, restaurants (try "Life's a Beach" - fantastic), golf course (fab) - all a short walk away. We didn't use the car all week. We found a shop one minute away selling lovely fresh bread brought in each morning.

The house itself has everything you need, rooms are spacious, beds are good. Everything is new and top quality. Lovely family kitchen with huge table to sit around and socialise. Very relaxing. We hope to return!
