The cottage enjoys a privileged position at an altitude of 800m midway along the Valleé de Lesponnne one of the hidden treasures of the Pyrénees, a paradise for walking. In the heart of the mountains it is a land of fast flowing rivers, waterfalls, forests, stone cabins, mountain lakes and high altitude peaks. The nearest ski resort is Tourmalet / La Mongie at less than 25km. The large fenced garden with its pond and stream is an ideal place to relax and enjoy the magnificent views of the surrounding mountain peaks rising to well above 2000m. Scenic paths and quiet forestry tracks are directly accessible from the garden. There are 4 bedrooms, 2 WCs, 2 shower rooms, a modern kitchen and open plan living/dining room opening onto a sunny south facing terrace overlooking a trout river. Equipment includes satellite TV, DVD, dishwasher, cooker, microwave oven, electric heating, open fire, garden furniture, and barbecue.

There are however many others including the Lac de Peyrelade, Lac d'Ourrec, Lac de Bassias, Pic de Montaigue and the Pic du Midi. Tourmalet / La Mongie the largest ski resort in the French Pyrenees is 23km. Nearby activities include pony trekking, rafting, canoeing, tennis, golf, mountain biking, winter sports and trout fishing in the river which flows beside the garden.

  • A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking and the balance is paid 8 weeks before arrival date.
    Rental includes gas, water, and electricity up to 50 kw if more electricity is used the extra is charged at cost price. Logs for the fire are charged at cost price. A security deposit of 80 Euros is required when you arrive and is repaid to you when you leave provided the cottage is left clean and that there have been no breakages.
