Our home is in a village in the valley of Garfagnana. The sitting room is of the first floor with folding french windows with a breathtaking view of the valley. The furniture throughout is traditional Tuscan, complimented by tiled floors, wooden beams & staircase. The 2 bathrooms are tiled with showers, toilet & bidet. A new kitchen with an open fireplace & a large dinner room. The village has a shop, butcher & a bar restaurant. There is a 15th century church traditional stone houses & cobbled streets. The house is ideal for exploring the areas, to the west the Apiane Alps,with marble quarries & the sea. On the east the Apemmine alps with the Natural Park Abetone ski slopes. Or you may wish to be pampered at the spa in Bagni di Lucca. LUCCA The walled city Romanesque churches. shops & antiques market. 1 hour by train /car. PISA 1&1/2 hours by train/car. FLORENCE A good day trip from Casa Clara.
