The province of Tarragona (with capital of the same name) has something for everyone. Located on the Costa Dorada the area attracts many people each year to its soft warm sands and gloriously clear waters.The area is also home to many ancient reminders of Spain’s past such as the Roman ruins in and around Tarragona and the Gaudi Centre in his home town of Reus.
El Molar is located in the Priorat region of Tarragona, 1.5 hours from Barcelona, 40 minutes from Reus International Airport and 30 minutes from the Mediterranean coast by car. Priorat is an established wine and oil growing region and offers a variety of activities.
The village has a swimming pool,football facilities, and a manor house. Surrounded by vineyards it has a number of wineries, three of which are part of the wine route and can be visited.
The main festival days in El Molar are August 16, San Roque, with dancing among other activities and The Feast of Girls, 6 December which is an ancient tradition.
