Villaverde:
Villaverde, locally named the ‘Beverly Hills of Fuerteventura’, is superbly situated in the north of Fuerteventura. A quiet village and in an elevated position between Corralejo and the village of La Oliva. It has spread out over the last few years, but remains mostly residential with a ‘country feel’. The airport is 35mins by car, Puerto del Rosario (the island capital) is 25 mins, Corralejo (a bustling seaside resort) is within 15 mins reach, as is the beautiful fishing village and beaches of El Cotillo.
Fuerteventura:
Fuerteventura is the second largest of the Canary Islands, and in addition to the fabulous weather, boasts truly outstanding landscapes such as the famous Mount Tindaya, enormous sand dunes and more than one hundred and fifty long sandy beaches. The stretches of crystal clear waters and pure white sandy beaches rival those found in the Caribbean.
Fuerteventura lies just to the south of Lanzarote and is close to the equator hence the fantastic holiday weather.
The small villages along the coast provide an abundance of culture and tradition in the chapels, castles and host of museums. Historical tours displaying various local craft work such as openwork, basket making, wood and clay. Inland there are many charming villages such as Betancuria, at one time the islands capital, Tefia, Villaverde, La Oliva and Antigua. El Cotillo a charming coastal town in the North of the island is famous for it's Lagoons and Seafood Restaurants.
