The beaches of Moraira itself and El Portet are the major attraction, but many love to just relax around our excellent private swimming pool. There is a large marina with sailing school in Moraira, windsurfing, diving (PADI school), jet-skiing and water-skiing are available, and of course there are a number of golf courses in the area. Tennis is available 10 minutes away, and the mountains provide a wonderful opportunity for walkers and those who enjoy exploring and driving to small Spanish mountain villages.
Moraira is really the jewel in the Spanish crown of the Costa Blanca, having a beautiful coastline, spectacular mountain ranges behind, and a relatively unspoilt and quiet ambiance. It is a splendid family town, very safe, with almost no hotels, no high-rise buildings, and no package holidays. According to the World Health Organisation, this area of Spain has the best year-round climate in Europe. There are many varied and good restaurants in Moraira, with even more variety at the nearby towns of Calpe to the South and Javea to the North. There is also a good market on Fridays. In short, an excellent holiday centre with something for everyone.....
The nightlife and theme parks of Benidorm, with Aqualandia, Sea World and Terra Mitica are only twenty miles away. There is a safari park to the North-West, plus of course, the striking mountain ranges, including excellent waterfalls at S'Algar where you can swim in the cool mountain pools. The world-famous fascinating mountaintop town of Guadalest is also easily reached. The amazing 1000 foot-high rock which emerges from the sea at Calpe, the Penyon d'Ifach, provides an excellent challenge for the reasonably fit, yielding stunning views. We have a book in the villa with many ideas and leaflets for local attractions.
