Beautiful apartments but noisy

We stayed in ocean view apartment,which is part of the same building, in summer last year.The apartment was immaculate and the gardens and pool lovely. The views are spectacular and you can easily walk to the old town with lots of restaurants and a picturesque walk. There is a nearby bakery from which you can buy fresh bread and pastries every day.The apartment itself is well equipped and extremely comfortable and has everything you need for a great stay. There was however a lot of noise from the next door neighbour's three barking dogs and their cockerel which crowed at all hours. I know this is no fault of the owners but it is a factor to consider if you are a light sleeper and it's worth checking if this is still the case. A lot of houses in old town seem to be guarded by dogs and I notice the reviews are often not in summer and wonder i9f it's a summer thing.
