This pretty 4th floor apartment has dual air-conditioning/heating. There are 2 bedrooms, one double and one twin, each with built-in wardrobes, and can comfortably sleep 4 people. A large South-East facing terrace (43 m2) with table, chairs, deckchairs and a sheet leads from the lounge and double bedroom. Here we can enjoy an extraordinary 180° panorama over the sea and Carboneras. An elevator leads you directly to your car in the garage. All the successive and contiguous sandy beaches along the sea-side represent an extensive domain of about 16 km long; the nearest one is at 300 metres. Within 500 metres radius, we can find supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants, café bars, caterers, pharmacies, jewelers, boutiques. The 'Paseo Maritimo' is a pleasant walk close to the beach where we can find excellent fish restaurants, tapas bars, before reaching the old fishing port. We are there on the edge of the Natural Park of Cabo de Gata remarkable for its wilderness and still respected nature.

The apartment is located in a very quiet street at the 4th and upper floor of the building. From its South-East facing very large terrace, we can enjoy a gorgeous panorama of 180° over the sea and the village. One of the main features of Carboneras is the successive and continuous sandy beaches along the sea-side, an extensive domain of about 16 km long; the nearest one is only at 300 metres. Within 500 metres radius, we can find supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants, café bars, pharmacies, diving centers (this is a great zone for scuba diving), hairdressers, jeweller's, boutiques. We still can enjoy the Spanish way of life in this typical Andalusian village with its narrow streets where we can find the hearty and friendly welcome of its inhabitants. On top of that, the climate is warm all year round, it has the most sunshine of anywhere on Europe and we are there at the North entrance door of the Natural Park of Cabo de Gata remarkable for its wilderness and still respected nature.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Note that the longer the renting duration the lower the rental rate. For example the weekly rate from 30 June to 15 July 2010 is € 500, for two weeks it amounts to € 900 at the most. For three following fortnight periods, 16 July-31 July, 1 Aug-16 Aug, 17 Aug-1 Sep, the same sliding scale applies: respectively a weekly rate of € 550, € 570, € 570, corresponds with rental rate of € 1000 at the most for two weeks.
  • The owner of this property accepts payment in Euros only. Ideally arrival and departure are Saturdays, but we are happy to accept flexible date bookings, dependent upon availability. The best way to ensure the due rent is as follows: 30% deposit payable on booking, with balance due 2 weeks at the latest before arrival. Payments are performed through electronic credit transfers to the owner bank. An acknowledgment of receipt is sent via e-mail to the tenant at once upon receipt of the credit. An agreement or contract between the owner and the tenant can be written if the tenant deems that useful: but it is not mandatory. There is a €125 refundable breakage/damage deposit payable as a cheque with balance, but this will be held without banking and returned at end of holiday after keys are returned to our caretaker key-holder who will give a satisfactory approval after property checking for damage.
  • We recommend that you take out appropriate holiday insurance cover for the duration of your holiday and a car is strongly recommended.
    We do not, under any circumstances, permit animals or smokers in the apartment. Maximum occupancy is restricted to 4 persons.

  • The following contents are present in the bathroom. A lavabo and above it a large mirror with 2 halogen bulbs. Left to the mirror a set of 4 shelves, and right to the mirror 3 green plastic tumblers are hanged to the wall. A bidet. A lavatory pan. A hanger for toilet paper. A small hand brush. Two hangers for bath towels. The bath with shower is enclosed with a curtain and a non slipping carpet lies on the bottom. A cupboard with a door and four shelves. There is also a ceiling light coupled to a fan.

  • In both bedrooms, 2 sets of sheets with the corresponding bolster covers, blankets and eiderdowns are provided for each bed. In bedroom 1, two bedside tables are placed on both sides of the double bed: these tables with 3 drawers bear bedside lights (there also a ceiling light). A large built-in wardrobe (3.17 m long, 2.60 m high, 0.56 m deep) covers the wall in front of the bed: its central part is the hanging cupboard (hangers included), whereas the lateral parts are equipped with shelves. At the top a large shelved space can be used to place luggage, bags, and so and. This bedroom has dual air-conditioning/heating with remote control, curtains, one straw-bottomed chair and a picture of Chagal. In bedroom 2, one bedside table bearing a lamp is placed between the two beds. A carpet is laid on the floor between beds. The wardrobe is similar to that of bedroom 1 except that the left lateral part is not available. There are also curtains, one straw-bottomed chair and a picture of Monet.

Notes: In the terrace, we can find broom, dustpan, sponge mop in a plastic cupboard with a blue bucket and a red plastic bowl. Usually the garden table with 4 chairs are placed on the terrace. However if weather is very windy it is necessary to put the table upside down between the washing machine and the neighbour walls and the chairs inside the apartment. A water-heater and a sink with a cold water tap are installed close to the washing machine. We recall that there is a direct access from the apartment to the garage through the elevator and conversely.

Attractive Carboneras: Carboneras is situated close to the Natural Park of Cabo de Gata. This is an area completely different from other ones of the Mediterranean coast since it is very quiet and natural. Typical Andalusian town with whitewashed houses and narrow streets. This a must to visit The San Andres Castle built in the 16th century, forming with Torre del Rayo part of the defensive system against Moorish pirate invasions. Among the beaches of the urban zone, the Puntica stretches its sandy tongue towards San Andres Island of the greatest interest for diving sports. Away from the village, other beaches disclose their peculiar features, such as Los Muertos host to a naturist reserve. The Natural Park has lots of things to see: old fishing harbours, typical Andalusian villages, miles of blue flag beaches and secluded coves. Visit Mini Hollywood Theme Park and the Moorish hill top town of Mojacar. Gaze at volcanic walls and moving sandy dunes of Monsul Beach and also the magnificent bay Genoveses.

Charming Apartment: At the top of the building in a quiet area, this 4th floor bright, spotless and spacious apartment overlooking a gorgeous panorama from El Puntazo de Rayo to La mesa Roldan, with the village going down to the sea and the San Andrés Island. We can enjoy two nice bedrooms, a double and a twin, with large fitted wardrobes including hangers. Apartment has one full bathroom with washbasin + mirror, bath/shower, bidet, WC. The ironing board is stored in the wardrobe of the twin bedroom. Fully equipped separate kitchen with table and 4 seats practical for the breakfast. Large South-East facing terrace (43 m2) leading off lounge and master bedroom, complete with table and 4 garden chairs. In the terrace we find a sink, the washing machine and the boiler. A sunroof begins to give some shadow on the mid afternoon and contributes to alleviate he very hot summer days around 4 to 5 pm.
