This stunning luxury villa sits in its own level gardens in the Urbanisation of Mas Pere, a short distance from the famous beaches of the Costa Brava. It is finished to a comfortable standard and comprehensively equipped with all modern conveniences. While the exterior of the property benefits from sunny as well as shady areas, the interior of the house has been tastefully decorated and feels like a 'home from home'. There is off-road parking for four vehicles. The pool is suitable for young children and can be seen from the terraces adjacent to the sitting and dining rooms. The property has central heating throughout and is situated close to some excellent golf courses as well as a beautiful beach. The villa is conveniently situated for daily excursions to Gerona, Barcelona and the South of France and also numerous renowned golf clubs, including the famous 18 hole at Mas Nou and the Girona PGA twin courses - recently the host of the Spanish Open!

The villa is set well back, overlooking Calonge, a medieval village close to the sea between Palamos and St Feliu de Guixols in the north east Costa Brava region of Spain, but generally only 25mins drive from Girona airport. If you have an extra 5 minutes, the secondary drive from Llagostera over the top of the Gavarres mountains via Romanya de la Selva is absolutely stunning, making a memorable first approach to the property. Wonderful sandy beaches, picturesque, pine-clad, rocky coves or the snow covered Pyrenees are all within easy reach. The villa faces south and lies on the lower slopes of the Gavarres National Park, just 4kms inland from the coastline. It enjoys stunning panoramic views of both ocean and hills from the upper and lower terraces.

Additional information about rental rates

  • The above constitute a combined price for both the house and the apartment. Substantial discounts are given when the house is rented on its own, with no access to the apartment. This can be as low as Euro 750.00 per week in Low season. The apartment is only rented out in combination with the main house, and will not be rented out when the main house is empty.
  • A deposit of 25% is required upon booking your holiday home. The balance of the funds should be paid 8 weeks before the date of arrival.

    Upon arrival and collection of the keys, a security deposit is required of Euro 250,00, payable either by cash or credit card.
  • A charge of Euro 150,00 will be made for cleaning the property at the end of your holiday, which is payable in advance.

  • This lovely spacious property has been divided to give accommodation for 2 families in comfort. The upstairs part of the main house has four large bedrooms with an en-suite bathroom to the master, a family bathroom for the remaining bedrooms and a further separate toilet. The modern apartment downstairs has been divided into a very comfortable lounge with open plan fully equipped kitchen, which also accommodates a sofa bed. It has a further 2 double bedrooms 2 bathrooms of which one is en-suite. The apartment has it's own separate entrance and terrace with seating area. This would also be used by the owners of the property should you wish for a fully catered holiday, which would include all meals.

Local Culture: There is a fish museum in Palamos and it is next to the fish market. You can witness fishing boats returning from their catch at around 4pm and un-loading their ware onto the quay side. You also have a chance to buy their fresh fish at the local fish market. It really makes a great BBQ! The property is within walking distance of several well marked long and short distance footpaths through wooded hills and along the coast. Local vineyards on some of these footpaths offer wine tasting and purchasing from their cellars.

Around you: The villa is situated in the hills of the Gavarres and overlooking a wooded green belt valley with its own swimming pool. The nearest beach is in St Antoni it just 5 minutes drive away from the house. There are many water-sports on offer. Many nice restaurants, bars and cafes for you to enjoy during your holiday. Tennis courts, a fantastic water (Aqua)Park, together with Go carts, and Quad Biking just 2 minutes drive from the house. Outside dining area and a fantastic swimming pool for summer use, make for a perfectly relaxing holiday. Mas Pere is close to good road and rail links to Barcelona (1¼ hours), Girona (25 min) and Perpignan (1¼ hours) or just 5 minutes from excellent beaches and coves at St Antoni de Calonge, Palamos, and Playa d’Aro. Daily markets are held in local towns and there are excellent shops and year round restaurants in Playa d’Aro and Palamos. The pool and gardens are very private and there are tranquil views across the green valleys

Golf: There are 8 excellent championship courses and 2 par 3 courses within 40 mins drive of the property.The famous Mas Nou golf course ,with its incredible views, lies at the top of the mountain directly opposite the villa. Dont assume that a low handicap ensures you wont loose a few balls!!! For the less adventurous there are 7 other golf courses at normal altitude! A visit to the ever improving and expanding Empordar golf courses is essential.
