Owned by an Australian-Turkish architect couple, featured in 2003 'Home Beautiful' magazine, our home is architecturally designed with Cappadocian stone interior and many unique features. To say that we have one of the world's best views is no exaggeration. Take a boat across the Bosphorus, view local Ottoman fountains, Turkish baths and markets - all this and more at your doorstep. From our home you have a panorama of ancient Istanbul - churches, mosques, minarets, palaces and the Golden Horn. Enjoy fabulous sunsets at cocktail hour from the terrace. This is is an exceptional home on the Asian side of the city with easy access to all major sites of Istanbul. We are the closest house to Leander's Tower also known as maiden's Tower - the symbol of the city as seen on London buses in recent years!

Uskudar is an old area of Istanbul on the Asian side of the city with its own historical features including mosque complexes, old Turkish baths and Ottoman fountains. The area has a traditional atmosphere including open markets & bazaars. Boats for transport to the rest of the city are 500 metres away. The Bosphours bridge is ten minutes away by car. Florence Nightingale's Museum, Beylerbeyi Palace, Leander's Tower etc etc are all walking distance. Transportation by boat to the old city and other destinations is available within walking distance from the house. Travel time across the Bosphorus, an experience in itself, is only 10 minutes and boats run continuously until after midnight.Many fish restaurants & bars are nearby as are small shops with friendly service for your daily supplies. Alcohol is widely available.

The shower cabin off the second double bedroom features brass Moroccan sink, brass and copper fittings all enclosed in a wooden cabinet. On the bottom floor is a full bathroom off the laundry - ideal for when there is a full house. The powder room of guest' WC is on the top floor and has an Ottoman hand carved marble sink with copper fittings.

The space is done in stone with many unique features including a custom made marble mosaic spa sharing the same view. The second double bedroom is on the level below and features a brass bed and brass furniture. The view is directly onto Leander's Tower - Istanbul's major landmark. With a spacious feel there is a lounge which can serve as a bed for a child. A shower cabin including Moroccan brass sink is located off this bedroom. A single bedroom is on the top floor and is closed off from the main living room by a sliding door. Computer desk is located in this room.

Ski: There are three major ski resorts around Istanbul - Kartalkaya (3 hours), Uludag (3 hours), Kartepe (1.5hrs)
