Villa Kohinoor is set into the hillside above the bay at Kalkan and offers the most spectacular views towards the harbour and across the bay to the islands…this also makes for a quiet and private escape from the heat and bustle of Kalkan. Plenty of accommodations for 8 people (potentially 10) comprising 2 king size double beds (en suite); 1 twin bedded room (en suite); and 1 king size double bedroom with seperate bathroom. The villa is furnished to a very high standard with full air conditioning and central heating throughout. The modern fitted kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher and large fridge/freezer. This modern stylish detached villa is set in grounds of 700 m² which has been planted with palms, bougainvilleas, lemon trees, and has three ancient olive trees which are abundant in black olives each year. The pool terrace has 8 sun loungers, a covered area for eating al fresco & BBQ dining and a large roofed terrace.

Kalkan has not been touched by mass tourism, and as a result remains unspoiled, upmarket and very charming, with amazing views at every turn. Strict building codes ensure the town’s historic preservation, and the many fine restaurants contribute to the special atmosphere that brings back visitors time and time again. Narrow cobbled streets that wind away from the harbour with bougainvillea covered wooden Ottoman balconies and historic architecture are typical of the old town, and the warm Turkish hospitality will stay with you long after your holiday is over. A spectacular coastline – turquoise seas, pine-clad hills and cafe-lined harbours. Kalkan is a delightful seaside town set amongst dozens of Roman and Lycian archeological sites, and a backdrop of the Taurus Mountains.

    * To protect our property and the enjoyment of our guests, there is strictly no smoking inside the Villa
    * No Pets
    * 8 guests (but can accommodate 10 with extra camp beds or single beds in lounge)
    * We reserve the right to deny single-sex groups
    * Check-in after 4pm… if at all possible… if your flights are delayed we will do our best to ensure someone is at the villa to greet you.
    * Check-out by 11:00 am
  • Deposit Policy:

    * Non refundable Booking Deposit of 20% of the rental fee is due with initial reservation to secure your booking.
    * Refundable Security Deposit of GBP150.
    * Payment of balance plus Security Deposit is due in full 8 weeks prior to your arrival.
    * Security Deposit will be returned in full 14 days after departure provided no damage is reported.

Unique benefits of Villa Kohinoor: Villa Kohinoor is large (210sq m) and the entire garden and terrace is an exceptionally large plot of land - 710sq metres The thing about having a villa in the upmarket Kiziltas district is that in the heat of summer you will get a cooling mountain breeze across the terrace that you just don't get in Kalkan town...we are a 15 minute stroll to town ...some villas claim it is quicker but you will stop and admire the view, check out other peoples gardens, etc...its a very nice stroll...you get the benefit of being close to all the amenities of town but ...you can get away from the noise.... and wow what a view...!

I spent a lot of time looking for a house to rent for 8 adults last July and chose Villa Kohinoor...and we were not disappointed. The villa is stunning – the views are AMAZING, the size of the bedrooms and bathrooms is fantastic, and the pool and all of the little details have been really well thought out.

Usually in a holiday rental, there are little things missing, but I can honestly say that there wasn’t one thing we needed during the week that wasn’t already there.

Some of us went to Patara beach during the late afternoons, which is really nice, but most of us were so relaxed and happy at the villa that we just stayed there relaxing by the pool every day! It is a view you can never get tired of.

Patara is great for Kite Surfing when there is wind. If you take a right just before 'Harrods of Patara', past all the little restaurants you eventually get to a dirt track which takes you to the middle of the beach, away from the crowds, and you don't have to pay the national park entrance fee. However, you do have to walk over some sand dunes (about 10-15 minutes walk) to get to the beach, and beware that the sand gets VERY hot (socks and flipflops recommended, not a good look, but less painful!)

I would recommend that you have a car if staying here, as it is up a very steep hill (which is why it has such great views), and if you want to go to the beach, you do need a car. Do NOT get your car from Erboy at Dalaman (long story).

The property was spotless, the management company came every morning to sweep up, take away our bins and take care of the pool. They were really helpful, and didn’t mind at all when we turned up in the middle of the night after our flight was delayed. They also organised a gulet trip for us on one day which was much cheaper than going down to the marina and organising it ourselves.

The property owner Rus was always really responsive and booking was easy.

I would not hesitate in going back to Kalkan and would definitely book Villa Kohinoor again...in fact one of our party has already booked it again for a family holiday next year!!!
