Otranto holiday house: giurdignano

Part of the charm of this house is the construction reflecting the style of an Old Masseria that the milan based architect reproduced using only local stone and materials. It has a loft style living room with arched doors leading to the courtyard. There is a fire place and a table that can sit 8 people plus a table outside of the same size. The walls and rooms are decorated with many of the paintings and art works belonging to the owners' private collection. There is a double bedroom on the ground floor with a bathroom and 2 bedrooms (one twin bed and one double) and a bathroom on the first floor accessed by 2 external stairs. On the side of this house there is a twin house available that can sleep also 6 people. They are identical and have the same type of garden. You access to the twin house by a door in the orange tree garden. So the house can become of 12 people maximum.

Further Location Information: The house is located in a village with 1700 people and is placed at the center of a vast olive tree area, it is 10 minutes by car from the beaches and the port and town of Otranto. It is famous for the presence of megalitic monuments dolmen or menhir, of the archeological site called ’Le Centoporte', of several criptas, of which the most famous the church-cripta of San Salvatore, of two hipogean tombs of the eneolitic period (II millennium B.C.). The house is situated in the center of town, next to the lovely piazza with a church and other historic palaces and walking distance from coffee bars and restaurants. Brindisi Airport - You can find details on all the airlines that fly to Brindisi and the car rental companies. From Brindisi Airport our direction is Lecce then Maglie and then Otranto. 5 km before Otranto you find directions for Giurdignano, go to the main square. there a person will meet you.
