Kermeur, a superbly equipped gite with 4 spacious bedrooms which can sleep up to 8 adults & a baby. The downstairs double bedroom with adjacent shower room/W.C. makes Kermeur ideal for less mobile guests or for 2 couples who appreciate their own facilities. Safety and cleanliness are our top priority and Kermeur is fitted with a smoke detector, fire extinguisher and fire blanket and is maintained to a very high standard and spotlessly clean. You can relax & enjoy the peace & tranquillity in our prize winning garden while the children play in the games barn. Expect a warmth welcome from your French speaking English hosts, who live on site and are always available for help & advice. Kermeur is ideally situated with excellent facilities locally. A few minutes away in Reguiny there is a new swimming pool complex & spa which our guests use regularly. There are also bakers, a supermarket, restaurants, bars & a museum overlooking the beautiful lake with lovely walks. The perfect holiday!

From spectacular sandy beaches at Quiberon, to forests & lakes - Lac au Duc at Ploermel, this region offers a unique blend of myth & legend. Visit the famous megaliths at Carnac the stunning chateau at Josselin, or the medieval town of Vannes. It is hardly surprising that in a region with so much culture, Morbihan plays host to some of the most famous fêtes, highlights include the ‘Inter-Celtic festival’ at Lorient in August. A region of traditional crepes & Galettes, a visit to our local Creperie Chez Bido is a must! The downstairs double bedroom has patio doors leading into the back garden & is ideal for grandparents who are holidaying with their family.The shower room with WC & handbasin is next to this bedroom & so is convenient for our less mobile guests,or for two couples who like to have their own facilities.

Notes: The gite has a separate garden at the rear of the property with BBQ , patio table & chairs,sun parasol & deck chairs. .Guests park in the private parking area to the side of our gated property as this ensures that the premises are very safe for children. The lawned 'quiet ' area at the front of the property is ideal for the adults to have morning coffee or a glass of wine later in the day! The games barn at the rear of the property has table tennis, a small bar football table & an assortment of outdoor & boxed games,plus a library corner with books for all the family. At the top end of the rear garden is a badminton net & swing ball.

A little about your hosts.: Marian and Nick have lived at Da Kanaouenn since 2004 and are now starting their 7th year of receiving guests.in their two gites During that time they have listened to their guests and taken many suggestions on board making their gites the wonderful holiday location they are today. They live on the property and are helpful but not obtrusive . They provide an information pack in each gite with all the emergency phone numbers, local information, market days,recommended restaurants etc, and they are always willing to make that reservation or phone call on your behalf if you need any help with the local language.Keen gardeners, Marian & Nick have been prize winners in the local village floral competition for the last 4 years., with spectacular geranium displays.

Morbihan Highlights : Statue of Pope John Paul II, Ploermel - see that larger-than-life bronze statue of Pope John Paul II unveiled in 2006 Carnac - the standing stones are an astonishing site, littered as they are across a primordial landscape Lac au Duc - a beautiful lake where there is plenty of opportunity for a quiet walk or watersports Chateau of the Rohans, Josselin - an 11th century castle with three magnificent fairy-tale towers Seafood - Morbihan is famous for its oysters, lobster and crab and you will find fantastic restaurants throughout the region to try the seafood

On the south coast of Brittany lies Morbihan - with over 800km of fine sandy beaches, rugged coastline, rivers and estuaries. The climate is milder here with wooded valleys and the legendary inland forest of La Broceliande. The well-preserved medieval centre of Vannes has great appeal with its half-timbered houses, shops & bars and creperies. Not far from Vannes are the prehistoric megaliths that rise from the sea & fields in Carnac and the Golfe du Morbihan. From here you can take a boat to Belle-Ile-en-Mer for walks along the Cote Sauvage with its panoramic views. Surfers, climbers, divers and fishermen are also drawn to the clear waters & natural beauty of this coast, known for its oyster production.
