Our family moved to Mallorca in 2001. We find the island one of the most beautiful and hospitable places in Europe. Not only nature and climate make it special. We have been very lucky as well to enjoy the richness and diversity of local traditions and cultural life.

We bought two flats on the same floor and used them as one property for our large family. Now that children have grown up and moved to continue studies in London, flats are separated again and one of them is available for rent when it is not occupied by the family. We fell in love with the area for its proximity to everything we enjoyed about Palma. Fresh food market next door, perfect transport connections, park, not to mention shops, cafes, galleries etc. The pedestrian street is full of artists and musicians during the day and quiet after shops close.

Palma carnivals and processions go via San Miguel. As the apartment has always been used as a family home it has quality furniture and is fully equipped for an enjoyable stay. We have children's books and DVDs to save you bringing your own. We can always arrange a welcome pack from the market for your first evening in Palma and help with information on local life and directions if required.

Awesome house in the perfect location!

Stayed here for a few nights with my friends. I've got to say the house was great and the location was perfect!! It's a brisk walk to the beach and cathedral and it very near all the clubs and restaurants. Not only that but Zaretta was very nice and hospitable. Will definitely stay here the next time I come back to Palma. Well worth it!!

Thankful for a nice place to stay

Pre-rental communication was very friendly and timely. Apartment was comfortable, clean, orderly, and very close to public transportation, which is one of the most advanced aspects of the island. The building appeared well maintained and safe, and was quiet through the day and night. The location was the most ideal part of the rental; there was a readily accessible supermarket located just a few meters away. The owner's friend was accommodating and provided all of her contact information in case we had any questions or trouble.

If you are unfamiliar with some of the European appliances as we were, you can use the internet to look up the appropriate manuals. You can find some (for the stove), but not for others (the television).

I give this four stars due to the cost. I found comparable listings in similar locations that cost over 100 Euro less, and requested a reduction from the owner, which was rejected on the fact that I was traveling during the most important carnival, the Three Kings, that went down this street. Based on this, I rented the apartment only to find the carnival or parade had not gone down this street for two years. I informed the owner of this upon my return home, and the profiles on various rental sites still have not been updated to reflect this, so please bear this in mind.

Otherwise, the rest of the ad is 100% accurate, from appliances to linens to description of the apartment. I would stay there again and recommend to others, but perhaps in a better economy when money isn't so tight.

Pricing: The apartment is designed to accommodate six, very few properties in the centre do this comfortably within the price range mentioned. For two people 94 sq m is a generous size property and it is possible to find smaller and cheaper flats but this remains the choice of the traveller. I believe the apartment is well priced for the location, size, quality and level of comfort.

I was not willing to give discount as I have flat rate through the year and do not charge extra for high seasons, and on the basis of busy Xmas holiday period, not the parade on its own, which goes in Palma via adjacent streets anyway.

Property details on internet: It is true the Three Kings parade has changed the route recently which I was not aware of as I was away for the New Year period last year. But we have a lot of other processions that still go via San Miguel and this is by far not the only feature this street is still famous for. I believe the description remains correct.

This is a clean flat with good quality equipment and is comfortable. Its location is excellent with the market opposite and main bus terminal, and still nicely walking distance to the harbour and cathedral. Zaretta was very helpful.
The flat was quiet enough for our baby, and he loved standing on the balconies high above the street.
The only difficulty is the stairs up to the lift for a pushchair.
We enjoyed our stay a lot - Thanks Zaretta.
