La Herradura holiday cottage "Cortijo El Limon"

We have been travelling around Europe for many years now and it's not often that we can genuinely recommend a property to family and friends. This is not the case, however, with Cortijo el Limone. From the delicious welcome pack on arrival to the sad farewell on leaving, the property more than lived up to expectations. The descriptions regarding location, layout and facilities are completely accurate. The narrow road leading up to the property is not a problem and is easily negotiated with a little care. Amanda and Jonathan are friendly and helpful whilst understanding the need for guests' privacy. We had a wonderful week there and cannot recommend it highly enough.

We had the most fabulous holiday whilst staying in Corjito el Limon and would recommend it to anybody wanting a peaceful and relaxing week in the sunshine. Amanda and Jonathan were perfect hosts-respecting their guest’s privacy at all times whilst being on hand to answer any questions or queries about the property or surrounding area. We felt very welcome as soon as we arrived even though it was very late in the evening when we did! The house itself is beautiful. Inside it is clean and comfortable with a wonderful sense of space and outside is even better. My favourite part of the day was waking up each morning to be greeted with the glorious view just outside our windows. The bed is so high up you can see right out onto the valley and it was so quiet and peaceful. The surrounding area is also lovely, with many glorious beaches just a ten minute drive away. This little holiday home is perfect for couples who want a relaxing and romantic hideaway. In one week it felt like home and we couldn't have asked for anything more. So a special thank you to Amanda and Jonathan and hopefully see you again soon!

Wer zu Amanda und Jonathan kommt, entscheidet sich auf jeden Fall richtig. Der tolle Service beginnt bei der Anreise: Jonathan wartet in La Herradura bei der Tankstelle und führt Anreisende zu dem etwas versteckt gelegenen Ferienhaus. Das Häuschen liegt auf einer steilen Anhöhe, Meerblick ist garantiert. Die Verkehrsanbindung ist hervorragend, bis zur Autobahn sind es nur wenige Minuten. Im Haus ist alles unglaublich liebevoll und geschmackvoll gestaltet. Der eigene Garten ist uneinsehbar, ruhig, ein absoluter Traum. Amanda bat uns an, Salat und Kräuter in ihrem Bio-Garten zu ernten. Der Pool ist sauber und sehr, sehr schön. Die Gastgeber halten sich dezent zurück und sind bei Fragen jederzeit ansprechbar. Sollte es abends mal kälter werden, steht im Häuschen ein toller Ofen; das Brennholz dazu gibt es reichlich und gratis. Ausflüge sind vom Haus aus einfach zu machen. Malaga ca. 1 Stunde Fahrzeit, Granada ca. 1:10 Fahrzeit. Am Strand in wenigen Minuten. Größere Supermärkte gibt es in Almunecar, ca. 5 km entfernt. Schöne Strände liegen in der Nähe der Landstraße in Richtung Malaga, ca. 3-4 km vom Häuschen entfernt. Ausgangspunkte für Wanderungen erreicht man schnell mit dem Auto. - Ohne Auto ist man in dem Häuschen verloren. Das ist der Preis, den man für die Ruhe zahlen muss, aber das nimmt man gerne auf sich.
