Tranquil accommodation in a sunny courtyard setting, panoramic views

Brooklands offers luxury barn style self catering accommodation, in a rural setting, just under a mile from Arundel town centre, with stunning panoramic views of Arundel Castle, and with the use of a private indoor swimming pool.

Our accommodation is suitable for corporate and leisure, including families and groups. The properties have use of private gardens and BBQ facilities, with free WiFi and Freeview TVs in all bedrooms. There is ample private parking.

Our accommodation is flexible, spacious and contemporary, offering a relaxing and unique holiday.

In summary, we have up to 6 bedrooms, in two 3 bedroom self contained units, with the options from just 1 bedroom up to 6 bedrooms on a self catering or bed and breakfast basis. The bedrooms are all spacious, and the dining/living accommodation has vaulted beamed ceilings and can cater for a group of 12, if hired exclusively.

Brooklands is great for families as the area is quiet with private gardens, courtyard and pool.

Brooklands is just under a mile from the historic town of Arundel, with its magnificent Castle open to the public between Easter and the end of October. The castle and the Arundel cathedral can be seen from the courtyard of Brooklands. Arundel is also famous for the Wetland Centre and Swanbourne Lake. Boat trips can be taken from Arundel down to Littlehampton beach.

We are surrounded by the South Downs, great for walking, mountain biking. We can arrange guided walks for your group. Walking into Arundel takes about 15 minutes.

We are only a few miles from the coastline, Climping beach is the nearest beach.

Littlehampton (attraction - East Beach Cafe) is only 10 minutes drive and is great for families.

Chichester is only 10 miles away, and boasts a beautiful harbour, theatre, entertainment centre.

Bognor Regis is only 15 minutes away famous for Butlins

Brooklands Barn - New Years Eve 2009

A group of friends and I decided to book Brooklands Barn for 3 nights over the New Years Eve weekend. As it was also my husbands birthday we arranged for some of our friends to get there early as a surprise.
'Wow' was the first thing I think a lot of us said when we pulled up the driveway. The converted barn was everything we hoped it would be and more! Lovely underfloor heating downstairs, a huge dining area for us to congregate and eat together, a kitchen that had a large amount of crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment, a comfortable and cosy living room and it's only private pool - just for us! The bedrooms were all extremely comfortable and warm with their own LCD televisions (not that we used them much) and mostly with ensuite facilities.
Beautiful views and walks on the doorstep and nice pubs. I would definitely recommend this for large families or group of friends like us looking to get away together.
The owner was extemely friendly and helpful, close by if we needed anything, but also happy to leave us to our devices.
I would thoroughly recommend Brooklands Barn. It would be nice to go back in the summer time to make use of the huge patio area where we did also spy a barbeque!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Families with Young Children

Fabulous 40th Birthday Weekend

I couldn't have picked a more perfect venue to celebrate my 40th birthday party. Myself and a group of family and friends had a wonderful time at Brooklands on a self catering get away. The property is large and well decorated situated in a beautiful spot surrounded by lovely views. Although the owners live on site they get the right balance between really helpful when needed but also being extremely inobtrusive the rest of the time. They even gave me a card and a bottle of wine for my birthday..an extremely thoughtful touch! The accommodation is well equipped although it could do with some larger saucepans! The beds are really comfy and the rooms spacious enough for sharers. Everything was spotless and the dishwashers so handy for large groups. The White Swan Hotel and pub was an easy walk to get to and a great venue for sit down meal for a large group. We all loved it and wholly reccomend Brooklands for any group celebrations. We definately aim to go back!

70th Birthday Celebration

We wanted to find somewhere to rent that could accommodate more than two families for a major birthday celebration just before Christmas and Brooklands was perfect for us. There was plenty of room and the bedrooms and bathrooms were excellent with furnishing to a very high standard.
Claire was most helpful and welcoming. At her suggestion we used local caterers to provide the main dinner and the long table in the main reception room took eleven of us easily.
The pool was much enjoyed by the children for a morning swim before we took off to explore Arundel and the beach at Littlehampton.
We have no hesitation in recommending Brooklands for other family parties.

Brooklands Barn in Arundel

We had a lovely family get together at Brooklands Barn in Arundel. It was just what we were looking for: spacious, very comfortable and clean and in a fantastic setting near the historic town. The kids loved the swimming pool. Also it worked really well using both sides of the property with a large group, as one side became the 'party' side where we sat down to eat and drink, while the other was a more restful retreat - especially useful with small children and babies. I would definitely recommend a stay here and would come back again.

Note for visitors in winter: Arundel castle is closed to tourists in the winter months.

40th Birthday Celebration at Brooklands

We recently stayed at Brooklands (hiring out all the rooms for exclusive use) for a 40th birthday celebration. The setting, building and facilities are perfect for a fabulously relaxing and fun time. We had 12 adults in our party and there was plenty of space of everyone and the main room is great for entertaining. All the rooms are lovely - beds and bedding really comfy and good quality. We also used the catering company - Appetite recommended by the owner and had an absolutely fabulous fully catered for dinner. The location is great too as we were able to walk into Arundel along the river and enjoy a very mild and sunny November weekend. All in all a memorable place to spend a special birthday. Would definitely recommend and will hopefully be back!
