Casa Calle Monte is a restored house w/taste & style w/a roof terrace. It has ceiling with wood beams, stone & tile floors & is lovely furnished with antique furniture & art. Parts of the house built into the mountain come from the 18th century. It is typically furnished for the country & offers a stunning view of the surrounding mountains & Casares w/the remains of the Moorish castle on the hill. Three bedrooms (one as a passage room) offers space for up to 5 people. Casa Calle Monte is in the middle of the old village centre of Casares, in a radius of 50 m you will find small mum & dad stores, old restaurants & tapas bars. The plaza is at the end of the alley - this is where village life plays during the evening. The house is comfortably cool during the summer because of the thick walls & during the winter, it is comfortably warm due to the fireplace & a few ovens. Due to the central location in the middle of the village, the house is also a good residence for spending the winter in.

Casares is a picture book Spanish village - below and on powerful cliffs with the old, Moorish castle, the white houses with their red roofs. The mountain city with 3500 residents contains one of the best preserved city centres in all of Andalusia and has been under protection as a landmark since 1978. The current city centre comes from Arabian origin and the rest of the fortress come from this time - it imposes more than 400 m above sea level. The most important festival in Casares occurs in August. Also worth mentioning is the pilgrimage to the Virgen del Rosario chapel, the festival in September and the Feria del Santo Cristo (village festival), also during September. Nearby you will find great hiking routes and climbing areas. The closest beach on the Costa del Sol is only 11 km away through the stunning mountain landscape. Casares is located on the border of the provinces of Málaga and Cádiz in the Sierra Bermeja. Casares has a public outdoor pool!

Die weißen Dörfer in Andalusien sind eine reise Wert! Wanderwege jeder Art und Natur pur findet man hier. Bei unserer Ankunft fanden wir einen mit lokalen Spezialitäten gefüllten Kühlschrank vor, was für die Herzlichkeit der Hausbesitzerin Beverly spricht. Sie war für die Zeit des Urlaubes eine jederzeit hilfsbereite und sehr freundliche Ansprechpartnerin für uns. Die Aufteilung des Hauses auf drei Etagen ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber kein Problem solange man nicht eingeschränkt ist. Die traumhafte Dachterrasse mit diesem atemberaubenden Blick auf die Berge ist allerdings einzigartig. Für Familien mit kleinen Kindern meiner Meinung nach ungeeignet aufgurnd der Treppen. Nachtleben und Shopping ist im 20 Min. entfernten Estepona zu finden. In Casares selbst kann man in kleinen Läden Lebensmittel kaufen und es sind mehrere kleine Restaurants vor Ort. Ein Mietwagen ist unbeding notwendig! Empfehlenswertes, rustikales Haus und Ambiente für Alle, die etwas anders suchen als Touristen-Rummel.

Es ist ein Erlebnis mitten in einem "Weissen Dorf" das Leben mitzubekommen,ausserdem ist dieses Haus ein aussergewöhnlich,schönes Haus.
