Lucca holiday apartment

We loved the apartment. It is located in a very convenient part of Lucca, away from the mobs, but close enough to the museums and churches to make it an easy walk to the major sights. It’s about a 2 minute walk to the Duomo and the Main shopping street and about a five minute walk to the train and bus stations. There are ATMs and an internet location just around the corner from the apartment. The neighborhood is VERY safe. There is a friendly and helpful lovely market close by. The street has several small grocery stores and other shops. My favorite was literally at the bottom of the street. Fresh fruit, vegetables, pastries, bread, local wines, meats and some prepared food were all available within a one-block radius. Some of the merchants speak a little English, and some don’t, so it’s a great opportunity to practice your Italian. We greatly appreciated the terrace with view over the botanical garden, we had incredible unforgettable dinners there at night and relaxing rests in late afternoon after our shopping and strolls in the town.
