• The comfortable property 'Casa Hidalgo' is priced, for 2 people, for the periods below as follows: 01.04. - 31.10. = € 100 per day, 01.11. - 31.03. = € 110 per day. Additional guests of 13 years and over are charged € 20, under 13 years € 10, per day. Children under 2 years stay free. A cot and high-chair are available free of charge. Final cleaning is charged as one extra day’s rent. For use of the Internet, there is an all-inclusive charge of € 10 per week, or part thereof.

The Situation

There is a paragliding launch point, for beginners too, in the local area. Mountain biking is also quite popular here. The very pleasant climate is another plus point. Even in winter, the average temperature is around 21ºC, and in summer, around 27ºC. Both in Punta de Hidalgo and Bajamar, earlier ugly high-rise buildings have been demolished and a new beach promenade built, and the seawater swimming pools renewed. These pools are themselves an attraction: with each high tide, the surf rushes in and fills the pools with fresh seawater. There is a small sandy beach right beside the swimming pool in Bajamar. As you would expect, there are outstanding fish restaurants here. About a kilometre away there is also a German café with a bakery, Café Melita, for fresh bread, rolls and cakes: daily.

The equipment

In the living room there are a comfy sofa and armchairs as well as a television set with a satellite connection for the receipt of major international television and radio channels, and a video recorder too. There is also a radio/cassette with a CD player. The dining table seats four people comfortably. In one bedroom there is a double bed (160 x 200 cm) and in the other, two single beds (in each case 90 x 200 cm), which can be pushed together. The large kitchen is equipped with all important utensils and equipment: coffee machine, toaster, large fridge/freezer, 4-ring ceramic hob, fan-assisted oven, kettle etc. There is also a washing machine, a tumble drier, an ironing board and an iron, as well as a hair-dryer. Bed linen, hand towels, bath towels and tea-towels are provided in plenty. You will only need to bring along your own beach towels.

Outside

In the outside area, guests will find several groups of garden chairs, either in the garden or at the pool, depending upon whether you wish for sun or shade. The pool is about 8 x 4 m and surrounded on two sides by a wall covered in climbing plants, so that you may sunbathe out of the wind. The pool is heated from October to April to approximately 28ºC. The pool is secluded and is not overlooked. Right next to the pool is a pool shower and a WC. A barbecue has been installed. You can park your hire car on the property. The location of the property is particularly interesting for walkers and lovers of the countryside because the areas to explore are “just outside the front door” and you can set-off from the house with no need to be dependent on a car. In addition, and for those who may not be keen on walking, the location is also ideal, as there are restaurants, bars, supermarkets, a baker's shop, a pharmacy, a cash dispenser, and a medical aids supplier within easy walking distance
