Johannas Haus is hidden behind bushes and trees in a sunny clearance. The large property is only 200 m from the swimming bridge on the ocean. This house was the summer meeting place for relatives for years and has enough space and furnishings for a larger family. The furnishings remind you of the turn of the century and you have the feeling that this house is full of stories from long ago. You can see the ocean and beautiful sunset over the trees from the balcony on the top floor. There are no direct neighbours and only a field path that leads to the house increases the feeling of quiet and seclusion. You can take kilometre-long cycling tours along the ocean from Grönvik. To abandoned fishing villages along the wild rock coast or to idyllic Sandvik harbour. By the way...the wonderful novel from Johan Theorin 'Öland' was written here.

Öland, the island of sun and wind is a holiday paradise for many Swedes. In addition to its amount of sun hours, Öland is famous for its healthy climate and huge array of recreational activities. Johannas Haus is on the west coast of the island, in Grönvik. Grönvik is a suburb of the Bay of Djupvik. This stretched out bay is one of the most popular resorts on Öland. There is a local shop that also sell fresh rolls every morning. In addition to the shop, there is a little restaurant 'Ankaren' and it has good cuisine and an ocean view. People meet here on summer evenings for a glass of wine and often live music. There is a swimming bridge in the ocean, where one can swim from to the anchored float and enjoy a fantastic view of the entire bay. There is also mini-golf in Djupvik and a go-cart track at the end of the town, far away from all the houses.
