The ancient farmhouse 'La Ghiraia' is located in the midst of the property in the village Pastina. 'La Ghiraia' was built in the typically Tuscan style with natural stones, Terracotta floors and roof trees and restored recently with much taste. From the apartment and the veranda you have an enchanting view to the forests and fields and at the blue of the sea, which is in only 15 km distance. Breakfast or half board upon request. The swimming pool offers refreshment to the guests in the summer. Also to the guest’s disposal: four mountain bikes. Here, in the heart of the Tuscany, you find - connected to peace in nature - solidarity and hospitality, with attention on your needs. The old farmhouse is a marvellous starting point for trips into the forests, to the sea side and historical and cultural cities.

The “La Ghiraia” farm was born as a farm specialized in mechanical cultivation. During the years in this activity there was a technological development that transformed the manufacture and work exclusively made by men and animals in an activity where the machines helped to increase the profits. For example Bertoli family have for the first time introduced a tractor in the 50’s and also the application of first thresh machine. Between the 50’s and 60’s the application of the first harvester had place and today it is commonly used. The actual generation of Bertoli family has decided, for the future of farm development, to assume direct conduction of the farm in buying or renting the land, diversifying type of cultivation and respecting the rules of rotation land working.
