You can rent this apartment yearly from March, 1st until September, 30th. Our apartment has an absolutely quiet location, approx. 3 km from the southern bank of the lake Altmühl. It is situated in the wonderful Frankish region of Seeland. The apartment has 4 ½ rooms which cover 105 m². It has 2 bedrooms, a large bathroom, separate WC, HWS-room with washing machine, drier, etc., living and dining room, kitchen with dish washer, 2 balconies. All the rooms have protection against insects at each window, so that the mosquitos will not disturb your sleep. A parking area and a garage for bikes are available. 4 bikes are at the disposal of our guests for free. Towels and linen are available for free, the beds are prepared for your arrival. The baby and children furniture consists of a cot, including pillow, cover and linen, winding place, baby bathing tub, WC potty, child seat for normal WC, children high chair. You find a supermarket, butcher and a baker in the village.

Ornbau is an old, romantic little town, the gate to the new Frankish Seeland. The ones who look for relaxation can find here hospitality, no shivaree, no hectic rush, no traffic noise. Here is a realm of silence and calmness of untouched nature. You can still find restaurants with convenient prices, which offer everything that belongs to the Frankish cuisine. The region offers within a short distance, many comfortable cities, which are worth seeing: Wolframs-Eschenbach (8 km), Ansbach (18 km), Dinkelsbühl (32 km), Rothenburg at the Tauber (50 km), Feuchtwangen (28 km), Gunzenhausen (15 km) or the large city of Nürnberg (45 km). Bikers, hikers, surfers or tourists who just want to dangle their soul would find the right place here. The lakes Altmühl, Brombach and Ingelbach invite you to all kind of sports activities. Families can find here sunbathing areas for free, paddleboats and bikes for rent, and much more. As a tourist in Ornbau you can play tennis for a convenient price.

  • The 14 m² large bathroom is tiled with flagstones by the artists Janosch, so well known by children thanks to his tiger-duck and frog. It also has a free standing, 1,80 m long bathing tub, a separate, spacious shower, a sink, WC and urinal for men, as well as many bathroom closets and storage surfaces for your bathing things. A hairdryer is available. From the bathroom you have access the backside balcony with view upon the garden. In the utility room, there is an extra WC with sink. There you can also find a washing machine and a drier which you can use for free, as well as a winding place for the small ones.

  • The first bedroom has 1 double bed 2 x 2 m, 2 closets and furniture for children: cot, including pillow, cover and linen, winding place, baby bathing tub, WC potty, child seat for normal WC and high chair. The second bedroom has 2 single beds, (0,90 x 2 m each), which can be turned into 1 double bed, 2 closets, access to the balcony in the backside balcony. In the living room, one of the two sofas for 3 can be extended to a comfortable sleeping sofa with 1,55 x 2 m. All the beds and sofas are equipped with top quality mattresses stuffed with barrel core. Everything is very clean and neatly arranged. Equally spotless white are the pillows and the linen. Everything is regularly washed and cleaned. All the bedrooms have parquet floor and protection against insects, so that the mosquitos will not disturb your relaxing sleep, and in the summer, you will be able to read your ‘good night’ mystery story untroubled.

Notes: What do you expect from your vacation apartment? Lovely, comfortable furniture is there for guests that don’t want to make any compromises during their vacation. The floors are either tilled or covered with parquet. The bedrooms, the living and dining room, the kitchen and the bathroom are all provided with protection against insects, so that the mosquitos will not disturb your relaxing sleep. Towels, linen and dish cloth are available for free. Towels are changed weekly. The beds are prepared for your arrival. The washing agents for the washing machine and dish washer are inclusive. Other cleaning agents and a vacuum cleaner are also available, if you want to clean something yourself. The living room is furnished with 2 sofas for 3 (one sofa has an ottoman and the other one has a storage box). There are also satellite TV, stereo system and music collection in the living room. The dining room in a bay has direct access to the balcony which offers a wonderful view.

Absolute Spitze im Fränkischen Seenland

Wir waren bereits 3 mal Gast in einer der schönsten Fewo im fränkischen Seenland. Ein großzügiges Anwesen am Ende einer ruhigen Spielstraße, unmittelbar angrenzend an ein Naturschutzgebiet. Imponierend die ökologische Ader der Vermieter, Photovoltaikanlage auf dem Dach sowie ein Brunnen zur Wasserversorgung des liebevoll angelegten Gartens. Die "saarländische" Gastfreundlichkeit der Eltern (Verwalter) lassen die Gäste sich sofort heimisch fühlen. Die Wohnung selbst ist für 4 (6) Personen sehr großzügig geschnitten. Die Kompletteinrichtung lässt keine Wünsche offen.
Ein tolles Janosch Bad lässt nicht nur Kinderherzen höher schlagen. Ob 14 Tage oder auch nur ein Kurz-Trip, diese Wohnung ist immer zu empfehlen.

Wirklich noch günstige Getränke - und Speiseangebote in den Lokalen, aber auch beim örtlichen Metzger und Bäcker runden die Sache ab.

Der Altmühlsee mit seinen tollen Bademöglichkeiten ist in wenigen Minuten erreichbar.

Ferien im Grünen

Ich war schon mehrmals zu Gast und würde diese Ferienwohnung jederzeit weiter empfehlen.
Der Zustand der Wohnung ist sehr gepflegt mit einer super Ausstattung die man fast schon als luxuriös bezeichnen kann. Der Standort ist zwar etwas abgelegen, dafür aber sehr ruhig. Mit dem Fahrrad kann man den Altmühlsee schnell und bequem erreichen und auch zum Brombachsee ist die Fahrt mit dem Fahrrad möglich weil die Gegend sehr flach ist und auch ungeübten das Radfahren leicht fällt. An Biergärten rund um die Seen mangelt es nicht und somit ist für das leibliche Wohl gut gesorgt.

Die Wohnung lässt keine Wünsche offen. Sie ist sehr sauber, geschmackvoll eingerichtet, geräumig und hat ein super Badezimmer. Vom Balkon hat man einen herrlichen Ausblick. Ich würde die Ferienwohnung immer weiterempfehlen. Die "Betreung" der Eltern der Vermieter war sehr herzlich und nett. Wir kommen in 2008 für ein paar Tage zum Heckflossentreffen wieder. Das sagt doch alles.
Owner's Response: Mit großer Freude haben wir die Bewertung unserer Wohnung gelesen - sie bestätigt uns in unserem ständigen Bemühen darum, die Räumlichkeiten und das Umfeld für den Urlaub unserer Gäste so optimal als möglich zu gestalten.
Auch dieses Jahr haben wir vor Saisonstart frisch gestrichen und gewienert, liebevolle Kleinigkeiten ergänzt oder erneuert - nun ist alles startklar und meine Eltern und wir freuen uns auf alle Gäste, die bereits gebucht haben.
Und natürlich auf Sie - all die neuen Gäste, die nun Lust darauf bekommen, einmal Urlaub bei uns zu machen.
