Discover Villefranche-sure-Mer:
The east side of the Côte d'Azur is often underestimated. Discover the beautiful landscape, the trails on Cap-Ferrat and get to Nizza quickly (5 min directly into the center by train) to go shopping. Villefranche offers a lot of flair and charm. You can quietly walk through the old city between shade and light - you will smell the meals being prepared. There area a lot of restaurants and taverns on the promenade and you will see the multi-colored houses that always have a direct view of the sea. You can enjoy typical fish dishes with a bottle of red wine on the sunny patio or you can drink a latte. The antique market happens on Sundays. The small chapel St. Pierre, decorated by the artist Jean Cocteau, is found at the beginning of the promenade. Jean Cocteau, like many other artists, fell in love with the charm of this enchanting city. A quiet location near all treasures.

Nizza Carnival from 16.02 - 04.03.07:
Every year during February the carnival king overtakes the city with his foolishness. No time to sing the blues! Everything is allowed, originality and enthusiasm are necessary. His 'majesty Carnival' 2007 will be the „Roi de la tres grande mélée“ (king of the rugby world championship in France) and will control the city from February 16th to March 4th, 2007. Become his subject! On the occasion of the largest event in Côte d'Azur during the winter, the Nizza carnival - the 123rd year - his majesty in person, the 'Roi de la grande mélee' ,will take over the city. Colorful processions and poetic flower processions take place on the famous, decorated promenade. A line of events are on the program.
Golf:
There are several golf clubs on the Cote d'Azur. The closest is the Monte Carlo Golf Club. Bordered by sea and mountains and spared from the real estate boom, this 18 hole course (5682m , par 71) is one of the most beautiful courses in the Cote d'Azur. The course was built in 1911. The originality of this property with an elevation of 900 m lies in the small length of the holes. The course demands extreme precision and every hole has one or multiple technical specialties. Whether it be the views of the mountains from the first 11 holes or the discovery of the sea starting with the 13th hole, nature is present and unique here. Finesse and terrific quality. You can reach the golf club quickly with a car (thanks to the highway) (green fee for 18 holes: 90€ or 110€ on weekends).
