Beautiful villa (90 m2, built in 2003, 2 floors) on the hills of Nice near the Bellet wine district. Situated in a self-contained estate of several villas with its own swimming pool. The villa profits from a wonderful view of the hills surrounding Nice as far as the sea. There is a small private garden with grill and garden furniture. The kitchen is fully equipped and opens on to the living room. From the kitchen / living room you have direct access to the garden. The villa contains 3 bedrooms (1 double and 2 single) It is 3 km from the beach and 2 km from the town centre. We recommend it for families. In an enclosed site, with very little traffic in the adjacent street, it is very secure for everyone, especially children. Although there are bus routes nearby, a car is recommended.

In a peaceful location on the hills of Nice, far from the chaos of the town centre but still near enough to go shopping or bathing. Discover the unknown side of Nice, near to the wine district of Bellet and the village of Saint Roman de Bellet. It is the only town in France which has had an ‘appellation controllée ‘(control of origin of manufacture) within its limits since 1941, the Bellet cliffs near Nice have one of the oldest types of grape in the world, from which are produced red, white and rosé wine whose fame has crossed all borders. Well worth finding out! The vineyard district of Bellet is one of the oldest in France; the plantations are timeless. The cliffs of Bellet are shared by 15 wine-growing families who ensure local tradition and quality. Nowadays its wine is found on the tables of leading restaurants.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Work it out yourself: from €27 per person per day in low season and from €39 per person per day in high season! Where can you find a hotel at that price? Bed linen can be ordered if you prefer not to bring your own. 1 set includes sheets, pillow cases, bath and hand towels and one tea towel. For a double bed (x2) it costs €28 extra, per single bed (x1) a set costs €16 extra. The above prices are only for bookings from Saturday to Saturday. Other bookings in low season (e.g. Wednesday to Wednesday) will attract special rates, independent of local events (Monaco Grand Prix and Cannes Film Festival).
  • Additional costs are inclusive (€30 per week) Final cleaning and administrative costs are inclusive. Tourist tax / local tax are additional costs (approx. €0.90 per item per day). Payment by money transfer is preferred and recommended. The Apartment is not booked until a deposit of 30% of the booking price is received. We do not accept cash payment. The remainder of the cost is payable 8 weeks before arrival. On arrival a breakages deposit of €1,000 will be requested at our partner office (Credit card copying is preferred).
  • Hint: if you book for 2 or 3 weeks, you’ll get an additional discount. The weekly price is lower. You should have personal liability insurance that includes damages abroad. If you have no personal liability insurance, unfortunately the landlord/lady can refuse the booking. We can offer you a travel personal liability insurance to overcome this problem from €6. Just ask! We certainly recommend an insurance to cover booking cancellation (with or without liability).

Low-price flights from Hamburg with Lufthansa: Since October Hamburg is once again on a direct flight to Côte d’Azur (without Stop & Go). Lufthansa is offering direct return flights from Hamburg from €99 (+ tax). If you book early you can even save with Lufthansa. A very pleasant direct connection; we tested it for you.

Our tips for low-cost airlines: Fly direct to Nice from €20 one way. From Cologne/Bonn airport with Germanwings from Berlin (with stop), Hamburg (with stop), Düsseldorf, Munich and Stuttgart by DBA. Or from Berlin, Dortmund, Geneva (Switzerland) and Amsterdam (NL) direct by Easyjet. From Zurich with Helvetic: since March 2004 Helvetic flies from Zurich from €99. From Vienna with Austria Airlines (2 flights per day). From Friedrichshafen (Germany) there are also direct flights to Nice. Nice is no longer so far or so expensive for people who plan ahead.

Nice Carnival from 16th Feb. till 4th March 2007: Every year in the month of February the Carnival King takes over the town with his comic tricks. No time to be sad! Everything is permitted, with originality and exuberance assured. His ‘Carnival Majesty’ of 2007 will be the ‘king of the great mob’ (king of the Rugby World Master in France) and will reign over the town from 16th February till 4th March. You could be one of his subjects! At this enormous winter event of the Côte d’Azur, the 123rd Nice carnival to take place, the ‘king of the great mob’ in the person of his Majesty will reign over the town. Brightly-coloured processions and lyrical flower processions will alternate on the famous Promenade des Anglais, which will also be decked out with flowers. A range of related events will also be available.
