The holiday house is located in northern Holland (North Sea) between Alkmaar and Den Helder in the coastal area St. Maartenszee/ St. Maartensvlotbrug. At the beach of St. Maartenszee begins the nature reservation `t Zwaanenwater and also the largest north Dutch amusement park for children with many attractions. Experience a picture book holiday, full of alternatives and harmony. Contemplative bathing resorts, historical ports and the nearby metropolis Amsterdam. A postcard landscapes with meadows and windmills, channels and herds of sheep, old ports, cities and interesting museums. The landscape is well known for its endless beach, the sea, the dunes the polders and fields of flowers. There is an excellent road network for bicyclist available along pictorial and interesting villages and cities. Among the many waterways you can also enjoy the landscape, canoeing, or motor boating or fishing.

The house is fully equipped, nicely furnished, very clean and nicely decorated. The bedrooms are not big but beds are comfortable and large storage space is appreciated. Nice living room with two comfortable sofas. A small but very pleasant garden with full garden furniture. The place is very quiet (except sometimes in the morning due to field labours not far away). Strongly advised are the bike rides along the beaches or in Texel island (30 mn by car to Den Helder, then a 20 mn boat trip and you can rent a bike for only 8€ a day on your arrival and spend a wonderful day on bike paths along the dunes). Also to be done in spring is a visit to the Keukenhof garden full of flowers (one hour trip), the cheese market in Alkmaar on Friday mornings, or a visit to Amsterdam or Haarlem.
Just two small remarks :
- TV satellite is only in German (except CNN), and every written notice is in German (the house seems to be mostly rented to German-speaking people)
- although actual rental prices are along normal market conditions, those mentioned on the website should be revised as they were not accurate and somewhat lower than the price charged for the rental.

Wir waren in den Osterferien mit der Familie im Haus Sonnenschein und ich muß sagen, dass ich noch nie so ein sauberes, gemütliches und liebevoll eingerichtetes Ferienhaus erlebt habe. Wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt und konnten den Urlaub so genießen, dass wir uns nach unseren Unternehmungen immer wieder auf das Ferienhaus gefreut haben. Vielen Dank dafür !!!

Sehr schönes Ferienhaus

Ein wirklich nett und liebevoll eingerichtetes und sehr gepflegtes Ferienhaus in einer kleinen Ferienhausanlage mit einer gut ausgestatten Küche.
Man findet alles vor, was man braucht - sauber, schön ausgesucht und in guter Qualität. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und eine schönbe Urlaubswoche verbracht.
Die Abwicklung war perfekt organisiert und sehr freundlich. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Superschönes Ferienhaus

Die Ferienwohnung ist liebevoll eingerichtet. Alles ist in sehr gepflegtem Zustand. Die Küche ist super ausgerüstet. Wer nicht extrem ausgefallene Dinge benötigt, wird alles vorfinden. Die Dinge sind nicht nur billig zusammengekauft, sonder so, wie man sie selber gerne benutzt. Man merkt, dass die Ferienwohnung auch gern vom Vermieter selbst genutzt wird. Es sind jede Menge Prospekte von Sehenswürdigkeiten etc. vorhanden, so dass der Gang zur Touristeninformation überflüssig ist. Es sind auch diverse Gesellschaftsspiele, Kinderbücher und eine Kiste Kinderspielzeug vorhanden. Kurz man kann sich richtig zuhause fühlen.
Besonders für uns hervorzuheben: Wir haben angefragt, ob die Treppe kleinkindsicher ist oder gemacht werden kann. Nach positiver Antwort, dass der Vermieter sich darum kümmern wird, haben wir dann eine neue Treppensicherung vorgefunden. So hatten wir einen sicheren, entspannten Urlaub, in einer Wohnung, in der wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt haben.
Auch die Ferienhaus-Anlage selbst ist nett, so dass wir sicherlich ein weiteres mal hier Urlaub machen werden oder Freunden das Ferienhaus empfehlen werden.
