Our summer house was built in 2006 and has Scandinavian wood architecture. It is located right in the middle of pine woods, in the Mönchgut biosphere reserve. The open-plan living area is approx. 80 m². It has 2 floors and is ideal for 6 persons. It's classified as a 5-star property. Located in the beach park Baabe, it has an open fireplace, sauna, whirlpool with massage jets, floor heating, big children’s room with a playing area, and a fully equipped kitchen for your comfort and well-being. From your house the beach is less than 50 m. You can see the Baltic Sea just by looking through the window. The lovely decor is always in tune with the season and gives the house a personal note. You can enjoy the house at any time of the year, and the children will love their unforgettable holiday on Germany's most beautiful island.

Notes to the rental rates

• You can rent the house on a weekly basis. Final cleaning is included in the rental rate. Costs for electricity (0,23 Euro/kWh) and water (5,30 Euro/m³) according to use. Visitor’s tax is paid on arrival. Linen and towels can be rented on arrival from the landlord Mr. Trautmann. Firewood can be bought from the supermarket in town.
  
• Your car parking is directly in front of the house at no charge. Extra cars can be parked outside the beach park gate, on the public car park with parking charges.
  
• The security deposit of 150 Euros is paid on booking and will be added to water and electricity charges.

Important travel info

Take note of the following for a good holiday: police speed checks along the road! Stay under 100 km per hour. Take the A20, exit towards Stralsund. After crossing Rügendamm, turn right at first traffic lights on Rügen Island and drive towards Garz and Putbus into Baabe (follow signs for Goehren).On this stretch there are no speed checks of intersections. This route avoids traffic jams and allows a feeling for the beauty of Rugen. In Baabe turn left at the crossroads (Greek restaurant) and follow the road until the end, then turn right until the barrier.

Top ten of the landlord

1. Karls Erdbeerhof at Rovershagen (on the B 6 east of Rostock) is a day's excursion. It is the biggest visitors farm in Germany. A stroking zoo for children, lots of souvenirs, the world's biggest hot air balloon (advance notice needed), smoked fish, coffee and home-made cakes. 2. Trip on 'Racing Roland', the oldest narrow gauge railway in Germany. 3 Steamer trip to Hiddensee, in the footsteps of Gerhard Hauptmann. A boat trip to the chalk cliffs of Rugen, (bookable from Sassnitz). 5 The hunting lodge 'Granitz'. 6. The old town of Stralsund, well worth a visit. 7. The miniature park at Gingst/Rugen with models of world famous buildings, especially suitable for children. 8. The Stortebeker Festival at Raiswiek (only in the summer months). 9. Romantic evening meal in the 'Muschelbar' in Gohren. 10. Sauna in your holiday home followed by a dip in the sea - unforgettable.
