Cozy cottage on 32 acre property with private beach at Bras d'Or Lake
This cozy cottage was build following ecological aspects on the shore of the Bras d’Or Lakes. The cathedral sealing and the loft gives a feeling of generous space. Lots of pine paneling is in pleasing contrast with white areas. The excellent insulation gives pleasant cooling in summer and the wood stove will warm the cottage and your mind in winter. Enjoy magical sunsets over the water and look towards the mountains on the other side. Fill your days with quiet walks on the empty beach and pick star fish or oysters. Just in case the salty breeze should bother you once, then take a book to the roofed patio on the south side of the cottage. Watch Bald Eagles and Sea Gulls hunting for food in the crystal clear water, right from your breakfast table. The land lord family lives on the next property and would be happy to assist you with all your needs, regarding your whale watching tour, with “secret tips” to unexplored water falls, to “hidden spots” for moose hikes or your fishing needs.
Details for the Cottage B&B Cape Breton in Canada
On the first floor of our comfortable house, we run a 'Bed and Breakfast' with just two cosy and clean rooms. Both rooms have a separate entrance – independent from the private area of our home. Each room has a private bath with shower, sink and toilet, a parking space, walk-in closet, in-floor heating, and much more. Because of the massive concrete floor, the rooms are - even in hot midsummer days - pleasantly cool. All the windows are provided with an insect screen. Of course the windows and entrances of both rooms face to the lake side. The breakfast is served in the breakfast gazebo, side on side with the bald eagle. Normally, a 'real' breakfast with eggs from our own 'happy' chicken, with bacon, toast, coffee or tea, orange juice, jam, home-made bread, will be served. However, special arrangements are welcome.
