Corralejo holiday bungalow: Corralejo

The bungalow was in a good location, very quiet and privately situated. Very close to the beach where you could stroll along the sand to the centre, passing a couple of lovely beach bars on the way. In the evening we walked into town via the roads which did take us longer. The centre offeres good facilities and choice.

The bungalow is lovely. On arrival, internally the bungalow was clean, comfortable, very pretty and most inviting. Overall very well equipped, the kitchen provided everthing we needed, a little home from home. We were very lucky with the weather 11 days of glorious sunshine, one evening of heavy rain. We had a lovely stay, we hired a jeep and spent some time touring the island, make sure you look for special offers when hiring a car you can get some good deals. The same when eating out, it can be expensive but there are some good offers out there with quality food..

Externally the bungalow was also very pretty, with comfortable furniture and sunbeds, yet we felt a little let down as it was clear that the patios, tables etc had not been cleaned after the previous guests, prior to our arrival. We cleaned this ourselves which is a job you do not expect to do at the start of your holiday. Although the weather was hot the pool was very cold, definitely not heated. We were there 10 days and in that time neither the garden or pool were maintained, and as the pool was not covered it became dirty very quickly, so unfortunately we tended not to use it. I would say this was our biggest negative, as it defeats the point of renting a villa with a private heated pool. On the last day of our stay it became clear that the pool heating was broken, as a pool engineer called to assess the work required and to fix it. As the owners had been aware of the problem, its just a big shame the pool heating hadnt been rectified prior to our stay, I noted another guest made the same comments about the pool in November 08. Hopefully this is all sorted now!

All in all we had a great holiday, I would stay there again in the future, based on the assurance that the pool heating was in working order and all external areas including the pool were cleaned and maintained as advertised.

lovely villa but unfortunately some problems for us that werent rectified, mainly the pool was not maintained as advertised, heating not on as paid for and not clean so was not able to use it and was not reimbursed and had no reply to email to owners

Wir haben in diesem wunderschönen Haus unsere Flitterwochen verbracht und wir genossen wirklich jeden einzelnen Tag!! Das Haus ist sehr gepflegt, sauber und bietet jeglichen Komfort. Die Räume sind hell und freundlich, die riesige Couch ist ein Traum - man kann wunderbar zusammen gekuschelt abends TV schauen, nachdem man sich in der vollausgestatteten Küche oder am Grill ein leckeres Essen gezaubert hat. Zu Fuß sind Strand und Geschäfte erreichbar – wir haben uns jedoch trotzdem ein Auto geliehen, um die Insel zu erkundschaften und zu den atemberaubenden Stränden zu fahren – und - weil es einen besseren Supermarkt in Corralejo selbst gibt (Eurospar). Der Vermieter ist jederzeit erreichbar und steht einem während des gesamten Aufenthaltes mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Man kann wirklich über unsere drei Wochen nur positiv berichten. Das oft angesprochene Thema „Hundegebell“ können wir nicht ganz nachvollziehen. Tagsüber hört man die Vierbeiner überhaupt nicht und nachts kann man sorglos bei offenem Fenster schlafen – man fühlt sich beschützt und hört nur ab und an ein Bellen. Der Pool wurde wie versprochen 1xWoche gesäubert, es gab genug Handtücher, Bügeleisen etc. Unser Fazit: Wir hatten sehr romantische Flitterwochen und kamen vollkommen entspannt und erholt nach Hause! Wir kommen gerne wieder und sagen: DANKE für alles!
