In the neighbourhood of your white village of Sayalonga, in a 4000 m² large Mediterranean garden with numerous old olive trees, you will find the vacation apartments of our Bodega Vino y Arte. Enjoy absolute relaxation in the mountains, near the coast. The exposed location of your vacation apartment offers a wonderful panoramic view over the Mediterranean Sea and the Mountains. On the authentic Moorish terraces, you will still find 600 year old Moorish stairs. From there you can enjoy the sunsets and the sunrises, while having a glass of wine. On serene days, you can even see the Atlas Mountains in Africa, or the fishermen boats under a breathtaking starry night, over the Mediterranean Sea. Enjoy the Tapas and the drinks in our Bodega, under the sun, which is very generous in this region. There are over 300 sunny days a year. The aroma of the wild herbs, the cicadas and the charming nights will make your vacation unforgettable.
Shopping/ Visits/ Climate:
The shopping center „El Ingenio“offers everything what your heart desires. There you can find boutiques, shoe and sport shops, restaurants, as well as a huge supermarket with excellent fish stands. Aldi, Lidl as well as a few small retail shops and a small Supermercado in Sayalonga offer good shopping facilities. Besides, there are the typical Andalusian weekly markets, inviting you to walk and shop. Within a day trip, you can reach the cultural cities and the Nature Parks of Sierra de Almijara and Sierra Tejeda. Granada with its Alhambra can be reached in 2.5 hours by car, Cordoba, Ronda, Gibraltar and Algeciras (for Ceuta or Morocco) in 3 hours, Sevilla and Tarifa in 3.5, and Toledo in 5 hours by car. Axarquia, to which Sayalonga belongs, has the mildest climate in whole Europe. The location between the close sea and the mountains provides equilibrium in temperature. It also enables the cultivation of olives, almonds, vine, avocados, oranges, lemons and other tropical fruits.
Culture and entertainment around the vacation home:
In our Bodega, free readings take place on a regular basis. In the Bodega, you can also find a gallery with pictures and sculptures. You can also borrow numerous books for free. If you are interested in a painting or lyric writing course, you can book it on location. The size of your pool is 2.50 x 5.50 m. The depth is 1.40 m. The pool is ideal for our guests to refresh. Near the pool, there are deck chairs and shadowy olive trees. The pool is open from April till October. The close located Sayalonga is one of the typical white villages. With its authentic small, narrow streets and bloomy balconies, the village is located between the olive groves and the vineyards. A well-kept market square with small bars and restaurants offers you the charm of a tourist, medieval village. In Sayalonga, there is a round graveyard from Moorish times, which is unique in Spain and worth seeing.
Ski:
In the middle of Andalusia, you will find a fantastic skiing region: Siera Nevada. It is only 2 hours away from Costa del Sol, and it is one of the best skiing regions in the entire Spain. Sierra Nevada is Spain’s number 1 in Winter sports. There are not many places where you can swim in the sea during the morning and go skiing or snowboarding in the afternoon. Sierra Nevada offers more than 65 km slopes and approx. 5 months a year enough snow for your winter sports. Sierra Nevada is ideal for all the winter sport fans, from beginners to experts. There are numerous slopes with difficult levels of proficiency. One of them is Piste El Rio which is 3 km long and has a 545 m altitude difference. There are numerous skiing schools and ski and snowboard rentals. The ski stations are usually daily open, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. There are also many entertainment possibilities at Après-Ski. In Sierra Nevada, there are numerous restaurants, bars, pubs and clubs.
Golf:
Andalusia and the close vicinity of our vacation apartment offer numerous golf courses which you can use anytime. The next golf course, Baviera Golf is a 20 –minute drive away. The course was projected by the famous and professional golfer Golfer José María Cañizares. Cañizaresis one of our international and most charismatic golfers, who won 5 tournaments of the European Championship and 2 World Championships, and participated at the Ryder Cup. The course (18 hole/ PAR 71) has many obstacles and is very challenging, offering the ideal Design for all the Handicaps. The number of holes and the fantastic landscape with the Mediterranean and the mountains guarantee an unforgettable day on the Bavaria Golf course.
