This Trullo makes a lovely small apartment for a couple or a couple with a child. It is an open plan studio apartment 36 square metres. It has been tastefully restored revealing the beautiful stonework, and with marble flooring. There is a double bed, a built in wardrobe, small kitchen, shower and toilet and a living area with a sofa bed. It is beautifully cool in summer. There is a wood stove for heating at other times. Outside there is a stone built veranda and a small garden. The Trullo is near the owner's house. The owner is English and is sensitive enough to leave you on your own and to be of help when you need it. There is space for parking. It is set in middle of the Valle d'Itria, a fertile belt between the towns of Cisternino, Ceglie, Martina Franca and Ostuni. There is a beautiful view all round. The sea is twenty minutes drive away. The delightful town of Cisternino is five minutes away. If you want a peaceful holiday near the sea, this is an ideal opportunity.

In the area: This lovely trullo is situated in the middle of the Valle d'Itria, a fertile belt between the four towns of Cisternino (nearest to us) Martina Franca, Locorotondo and Ostuni. This is the land of trulli the curious stone built cottages with circular cones for roofs. Nearby is alberobello, a town whose historic centre is a street filled with trulli. If you want a relaxing holiday. This is an ideal spot, you can walk or cycle round the country lanes or walk along the Southern Italian aqueduct (which goes through our land). The main cultivations here are vineyards, but there are plenty of small holdings where the owners grow wheat or barley or keep vegetable gardens. This is also an area for the cultivation of olive tees and olive oil tasting is possible.

What to do: The town of Cisternino is five minutes away by car. It has been nominated as one of the most beautiful towns in Italy. It has a small, but delightful historic centre and the local people are still helpful and friendly. Cisternino boasts of two excellent restaurants (details on request). Nearby is the town of Martina Franca (ten minutes by car) which has a lovely historic centre and which, during the summer, holds many cultural festivals for opera and street performers. Ceglie Messapica (25 minutes by car) boasts of a high concentration of high quality restaurants. Ostuni (30 minutes by car) is called the 'White City' and has a beautiful historic centre built on the hill, with good restaurants and wine bars. From here there is a beautiful view over ancient olive groves to the sea. During the summer there are many patron saints festivals, cultural festivals and activities, in fact in high summer, hardly a night goes by without fireworks over one of the surrounding towns.

Einfach traumhaft sehr schönes Trullo Erlebnis

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit in dem liebevoll restaurierten und eingerichteten Trullo, der in einer sensationell ruhigen fruchtbaren Landschaft eingebettet ist. Der Trullo ist gut ausgestattet und hat alles, was wir für den Urlaub benötigt haben gehabt.
Sehr freundliche -zurückhaltende Vermieterfamilie.
leider war die Anfahrt ein kleines Problem, aber der sehr freundliche Vermieter hat und, nachdem wir uns mehrfach verfahren hatten abgeholt.
Wir kommen bestimmt gerne wieder und können über die erste und leider negative Bewertung nur den Kopf schütteln.
Jedenfalls können wir den Trullo wärmstens empfehlen und sagen auf diesem Wege der Familie ein Herzliches Grazie

Traumhafter Urlaub

Der Urlaub im Trullo ließ nichts zu wünschen übrig.
Die Vermieter Pete und seine Frau Esther standen uns immer hilfreich zur Seite.
So wurden wir bei der Ankunft problemlos vom Bahnhof abgeholt, als auch bei unserer Abreise dorthin zurückgebracht.
Pete fuhr uns zum Supermercado oder nahm uns mit nach Martina Franca.
Der Trullo war in einem ausgezeichneten Zustand, abends prasselte ein wärmendes Feuer im Ofen. Der 4 Platten-Gasherd war unseren Kochkünsten gewogen und das Bett ließ uns gut schlafen.Wir frühstückten täglich in der Sonne vor dem Trullo, kurzum, wir hatten einen traumhaften Urlaub.
Die Lichtverhältnisse waren bestens, zu keinem Zeitpunkt fühlten wir uns unsicher.
Euch, liebe Leser, wünschen wir ebenfalls einen angenehmen Aufenthalt.

Wunderschöner Aufenthalt

Gewärmt durch die wunderschöne Atomsphäre des geschmackvoll eingerichteten Trullo und dem heimeligen Ofen, verlebten wir zwei traumhafte Wochen im winterlichen Apulien.

Ein Erlebnis das wir immer in bester Erinnerung haben werden.

Die hier gezeigten Bilder geben leider nicht ganz die tolle Atmosphäre wieder, die in dem gepflegten und mit viel Liebe restaurierten Trullo herrscht.
Alles war bestens vorbereitet und während des Aufenthalts wurden wir nett und zuvorkommend betreut.
Über das Grundstück der Familie ist gleich der "Acquedotto Pugliese" erreichbar und man hat von dort die Möglichkeit über Stunden die herrliche Gegend zu erwandern.
Wie in Italien nicht anders zu erwarten, kann man in den umliegenden Städten überall ohne Bedenken einkehren, um sich dort mit lokalen Köstlichkeiten verwöhnen zu lassen.

Vielen Dank nochmal an Peter und seine Familie die uns den Aufenthalt dort so angenehm gestaltet haben!

Ein sehr schöner Urlaub!

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt im Trullo Figazzano sehr genossen. Die Terrasse mit sehr schönem Blick auf von kniehohen Steinmauern begrenzte Felder lädt zum Sun-Downer und/oder zum Verzehr des (selbstegekochten) Abendessen ein. Unter den schön gemauerten Trullo-Kuppeln lässt es sich sehr gut und wohlig schlafen. Die dicken Mauern sorgen auch bei hoher Aussentemperatur für eine angenehme Kühle.
Falls es einem wider Erwarten doch mal zu kalt werden sollte, hat man die Möglichkeit, den Trullo mittels eines Holzofens zu heizen. Die Einrichtung des Trullos ist völlig in Ordnung. An Küchenutensilien ist alles notwendige vorhanden. Da wir uns auf der Durchreise befanden, waren wir über die Waschmaschine sehr froh. Die schöne, ruhige Lage des Ferienhauses ist ideal, um sich ein paar Wochen von der 'Stadt', bzw. der Hektik des Alltags zu erholen. Kurz und gut: Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Von wegen gemütlich!!
Wir waren voriges jahr im juli 2007 da und das haben wir erlebt!!!!!:
Kein einziger Schrank,um kleider aufzubewahren....
kein schränkchen um lebensmittel aufzubewahren...
Spinnennetze in fast allen Räumen.
Fast der ganz letzte Trullo im gebiet und noch ohne Umzeunung....Abends konnten wir draussen nicht sitzen,da es sehr unheimlich und unsicher war(nur eine klitzekleine Beleuchtung am Trullo)...
als wir dort waren,waren die Arbeiten noch nicht mal fertig(hat noch das aussen Tor halb gestrichen) und es lag noch hier und da noch Bauschut und leitungen rum.
Was uns am meisten geärgert hat,war es,das wir draussen nicht mal die möglichkeit haten zu Duschen oder abkühlen(ist halt gang und gebe bei so etwas)da es eigentlich ländlich sein soll(Campagnia)...
Naja,was solls .Leider ein reinfall......,sorry aber das mußte nun mal sein.
