You enter Casa Ciarciolo through a living room which has kitchenette. The kitchen is fully equipped; a nice detail is the marble breakfast bar. The bedrooms can sleep 5 or 6 people; bed linen is included. The bathroom is equipped with a shower and a washing machine; hand and shower towels are supplied, as well as an iron. The veranda with its garden furniture and grill can be reached from the living room. An additional outside shower is located below the veranda in the garden. You can book Qi Gong or Tai Chi Yuan lessons in a neighbouring garden, which has olive and carob trees.

Our holiday house is located in the outskirts of Marina di Modica on Pozzallo-Sampieri main road, 15 minutes on foot from the beach and the town centre. It nestles in a garden of palm, fig, citrus and olive trees. The fruit from these trees and other herbs found in the garden can be freely used by our guests for their daily requirements. The holiday house ‚Ciarciolo’s central location makes it ideal for both bathing holidays and cultural tourism. You can go on one-day excursion trips to Siracusa, Sicli Ragusa Ibla, Caltagirone, Modica and Noto, all of which are listed among the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The Vendicari natural reserve is 1 hour drive from the port of Pozzallo which can be reached in 10 minutes and is the embarkation point for ferries to Malta which sail several times every week. The mild climate, sometimes helped by the scirocco, the desert wind, means that swimming in the sea is possible from May right through to October.

Das Haus war komfortabel, das Ortzentrum in der Nähe sowie auch die verschiedene Strandmöglichkeiten. Einkaufen war auch kein Problem. Wir haben es genossen hier zu wohnen.

Perfekter Urlaub in schöner Umgebung

Insgesamt verbrachten wir einen tollen Urlaub und hoffen nachmals wiederzukommen.
Die im Internet beschriebenen Eigenschaften und Ausstattungen des Hauses waren völlig richtig. Das Haus ist in einem guten Zustand und liegt in einem Garten mit Zitronen- und Feigenbäumen, deren Früchte dem Mieter zur Verfügung stehen. Die Schlafzimmer sind geräumig. Wunderschön ist die Terasse, um die Abende zu genießen. In der Küche ist alles da, was man benötigt. Waschmaschine und Bügelbrett sind toll bei einem längeren Aufenthalt. Die Vermieter sind freundlich und immer da, wenn man sie braucht.
Der Strand von Marina die Modica hat herrlich feinen Sandstrand, man kann lange ins Meer hineinlaufen und Boote mieten. Im Ort befindet sich eine sehr gute Pizzeria mit freundlichem Personal.
Auch eignet sich Marina die Modica gut, um Ausflüge in die Umgebung - für Kultur- und Naturineressierte- zu unternehmen.

Tolle Wohnung f. Familien mit Kindern

Wir (2Erw./3Ki.12/10/7)wurden trotz unserer späten Ankunft äusserst freundlich empfangen und fanden eine wirklich super ausgestattete Wohnung vor. Alles für den täglichen Bedarf und noch mehr waren in Bad u. Küche vorhanden. Die überdachte Veranda ist wirklich großzügig (mit Blick auf das Meer) und unser tägliches Leben fand ausschließlich dort bzw. im wirklich schön u. liebevoll gestalteten Garten(Grill vorhanden) statt. Der Wohnraum ist aber für kühlere bzw. heißere Tage ebenfalls großzügig und ansprechend gestaltet. Die beiden Schlafzimmer sind ebenfalls großzügig und bieten reichlich Platz für alles. Die gesamte Möblierung, ist einfach, aber supersauber u. läßt wirklich nichts zu wünschen übrig. Von Ortskern u. Strand ca. 5 Autominuten (grosser Parkplatz vorhanden) entfernt.
Schattiger Parkplatz hinterm Haus. Einziger Nachteil-die Küstenstraße unterhalb der Siedlung- daher 1 Koffer Abzug.Die Wohnung ist für Familien mit Kindern u. Auto absolut zu empfehlen, der Garten ist eingezäunt und man kann auch mal Fußball spielen ohne die Befürchtung etwas zu zerstören .
Das Vermieterpaar (deutsch/italienisch) ist sehr hilfsbereit u. zuvokommend ohne jemals aufdringlich zu sein und wohnt ca. 3 km entfernt.
Wir haben im Casa Ciarciolo wirklich zwei tolle Ferienwochen erlebt, hatten eine tolle Betreuung durch die Vermieter und wollen bald wieder hin, da wir wegen der wirklich schönen Super- Strände nicht alle Ausflüge bzw. Sehenswürdigkeiten geschafft haben und weil wir die stets freundlichen Sizilianer ins Herz geschlossen haben !!
