Leisure activities in the summer in Alpine valley:
40 alpine huts, 155 miles of marked out trails. 75 miles of cycling trails, trekking tours from hut to hut (approx 25 alpine huts with overnight facilities) Cable car tours, summer operation of the Grossarl cable cars up til 1840 meters, bus and taxi service. Right on the Salzburg alpine trail, climbing cliff (Bella Cascinaia) heated outdoor poor, mini golf course, tennis courts, children's playground, guided bike and mountain tours, fly fishing, Nordic walking(also courses offered) 15 golf courses in 1 hour radius. Grossarl, “European village”:
One the drive in to the Grossarl valley, also known as the “Alpine valley”, visitors will already be enchanted by this marvellous region. Made more beautiful by the lack of passing traffic, one finds oneself in a lofty position with much peace and tranquility making a holiday in Grossartal a very special experience. Position: Valley: 920 meters above sea level, highest peak Frauenkogel, 2422 meters above sea level. Inhabitants 3700. Guest beds: 4,300, 80 square miles area, “European village” since 1981 as host of the annual European scouting forum.

20 modern lift systems, over 50 miles of well prepared slopes ( 14 miles of blue runs,30 miles of red runs, 5 miles of black runs) A member of Ski Amade, the largest ski conglomerate in Austria with over 534 miles of slopes and 270 lifts, 18 miles of cross country runs, 15 miles of hiking trails, flood lit toboggan run, snow shoe walking, half pipe and fun park, guaranteed snow from December through April, modern snow cannons, free ski bus around the whole valley and to the neighboring Amade resorts. The ski and post bus stops are only 100 meters from the house. 2 ski and snowboards schools, 1 cross country school, ski kindergarten, with day care, sporting goods testing and rental, group and organization races, ice skating rink, horse drawn sleigh riding, curling, spa treatment and Nordic walking.
