Für deutsche Begriffe liegt das Haus am Ortsrand. Dies hat den Vorteil, dass der nahegelegene Strand,sowie umfangreiche Einkaufsmöglichkeiten leicht und schnell erreicht werden können. Eine Bäckerei und eine Bücherei mit Internetzugang ist ebenfalls in der Nähe.

Im Haus selbst hat uns die große Auswahl an Handtüchern, die umfangreiche Küchenausstattung, die großen Zimmer und der Kamin positiv überrascht.

Der Außenbereich ist von den Nachbargrundstücken schlecht einzusehen, was für entspannte Atmosphäre beim der Benutzung des gemauterten Grills oder des Pools (incl. Wasserspielzeug) sorgt. Außendusche, Gartenmöbel und -liegen, Markise und Hollywoodschaukel sowie ein KfZ-Stellplatz auf dem Grundstück sind ebenfalls vorhanden.

Die Schwiegereltern des Vermieters wohnen direkt nebenan und helfen gerne bei Fragen zu Einkaufsmöglichkeiten usw. oder mit Eiern von den eigenen Hühnern. Die Poolpflege wird ebenfalls auf Anfrage sofort durchgeführt.

Etwas südlich von Porto gelegen bot uns dieses Haus eine gute Ausgangsbasis für diverse Touren nach Porto, in die Umliegenden Weinberge und zu weiteren interessanten Orten im Norden Portugals. Die Anfahrt aus Lissabon dauert über die neue Autobahn ca. 2,5 Stunden.

Vermieter macht falsche Angaben, das Haus liegt nicht in der Kleinstadt sondern auf dem Land bzw am Dorfrand.
Entfernung zum Bahnhof nicht 1Km sondern 7Km.
Sat Fernsehen funktioniert nicht.
In der Küche fehlen Backofen, Mikrowelle und Eisfach.
Bettwäsche nicht frisch sondern feucht und muffig.
Pool konnte die ersten Tage nicht benutzt werden da pH Wert zu hoch und Wasser zu trüb.
