Sightseeing/day trips:
Visit Kalamata, which has become one of the richest and most beautiful cities in Greece. Experience the Ziguene market (on Thursdays) in the morning if at all possible, so that you can enjoy it even in the height of summer. Fruit and vegetable markets where the farmers sell their wares are a must see. Walk on historical ground, Olympia, Sparta, Epidarus, Mykene. Visit Nafplio and the picturesque castle triangle with the romantic little towns of Koroni, Finikounda and Pylos. Or simply be enchanted by the Mani, visit Kardamili or Stoupa with their fantastic beaches or travel by boot through the caves of Pyrgos Dirou.
Things to note:
You will find relaxation and peace and quiet in the mild climate of this corner of the Greek peninsula. Mountains and the sea are both in close proximity here. Greenery awaits you here the whole year round. You are only 800 meters from the beach. In Chrani there are shopping locations, cafés and typical taverns. There are beautiful coves and beaches in the surrounding area. Or why not explore the area on horseback? There is a small stable only minutes away. Into sport? Then you can explore the landscape on a mountain bike. Floor level heating allows for a comfortable stay even during the winter.
Getting there::
With the car/ferry or plane/rental car/bus to/from Athens. Araxos airport is also a good location. We will be happy to organize a taxi to bring you to your holiday home. By ferry from Venice, Triest or Ancona, you can reach Patras in 19-30 hours. Three more hours by car later and you are in Chrani. Of course traveling by plane is faster. In 3 hours you are in Athens, then 4 hours in a rental car through wonderful landscape to Chrani. Or take the bus? It will bring you comfortably and cheaply (17.50 per person) to Kalamata. From there it is only 12 miles to Chrani by taxi or by rental car.
