The Podere Casino (Farmstead Casino) is part of an enormous country estate (over 6 million sq. metres). It is situated in a fantastic, very peaceful panoramic location with wonderful views of Volterra, in the impressive hilly countryside between the Etruscan town of Volterra and the Tyrrhenian coast. The Podere was completely renovated in 2005/2006, with respect for and use of traditional building methods and some parts were also newly built. The result is a collection of comfortable, rustic and tastefully furnished apartments. The home produce of the estate (oil, wine, cheese, eggs, honey etc.) can be tasted and bought direct. The Podere (farmstead) consists of the main house, as well as two „Capanna“ (2-storey houses) to the left and right.
