Swimming, paragliding, climbing and a variety of excursion options - Werfenweng city of activities: the recreation park 'Wengsee' (beach volleyball, tennis court, playground...) is a 10 minute walk from the house and offers a lot of fun for children and relaxation for adults. For your well-being at the lake, we have our inn 'Seealmstüberl'. High above in the air you will find experienced paragliders that are ready to show you Werfenweng from a different point of view. In the beautiful mountain landscape of Werfenweng you will find countless hiking paths for 'young and old'. The family-friendly ski region for all demands - in 2001, Werfenweng was named one of the 5 best ski regions in Austria. Ski slopes of 1,000 to 1830 m, 5 km of blue slopes / children slopes, 17 km red slopes, 3 km black slopes, a modern 8 person cable car, three chair lifts, five tow ropes, Zaglau arena: practice lifts in the valley, guaranteed snow, a lot of cozy ski lodges, apres ski in the valley, a 6 km long sledding run, winter sport equipment rental at Sport Brandstätter in the center of the city or at the valley station of the IKARUS gondola car, free ski bus with stop right before our house door. Werfenweng also offers kilometer-long slopes with different difficulties, easily accessible hiking paths, romantic horse-drawn carriage rides, ice rink on Wengsee and a lot more. We are a Sanft-Mobile host! Samo is for all guests that arrive with the train, airplane or bus or give their car keys up in the city. Mini golf in Werfen fun for the whole family: 18 holes, open daily from 13:00 to 19:00, in July and August from 10:00 to 20:00. Discount entrance with guest card! Can be found by the Werfen sport area. Golf course Goldegg: the course is located a kilometer outside of the city on a sunny plateau that opens up to an impressive view of the surrounding mountain scenery. Adventure golf course Radstadt: surrounded by a unique mountain scenery between forests and medieval city panorama you will golf on a demanding 18 hole tournament course. A sensation is the only golf gondola train 'Birdie Jet' (the only in the world') after the 12th tee off. Fascinating is also the 13th hole at an elevation of 996 m! The view above the course with a pond and green island and the impressive mountain summits is unforgettable. Golf club Gastein: created in 1960 by the architect Bernhard von Limburg, the course fascinates at the gate to the national park 'Hohe Tauern' through its scenic, beautiful location. Embedded in the Gastein valley, the course was designed in harmony with nature and offers real challenges: a successful change between hilly holes and levels, slopes and relaxing holes make the course diverse for players at all levels. Plus there are the 'new nine', planned by Keith Preston, that were opened in summer 2003 and are in the natural area at the foot of the Gastein mountain world.
