The typical country house Casa Porto Maria is located in a quiet service road. In just a few steps, you can reach the port promenade, the marina and the fishermen’s boats. In a 10 minute walk, you can reach Cala Marsal, the close beach. Super market, bakery, pharmacy, newspaper and flower shop, barber’s shop, restaurants, cafes, bus and boat stations can be found in the close vicinity. The house is very well built and it has its own garage. All the bedrooms and the kitchen are on the side of the sunny patio, in the back side of the house. Your children can play freely in this safe hideaway. Here you will also find a big barbecue area with seats, canvas chairs and outdoor kitchen. You can pick up fruit directly from the lemon tree. The house is ideal for families or friends and it accommodates 4 - 5 people. You can golf in the Vall D' Or golf course, which is 8 km away. There is a diving school and the possibility to practice other water sports near the port.

Porto Colom is a natural marina, very much appreciated by the seamen. It has preserved many of the original marine buildings, and it offers a peaceful, friendly atmosphere. The city center is a few centuries old and it is a second destination for the inhabitants of Felanitx, especially in the summer months. The other part of the village offers various leisure activities in the summer. Here you will also find a big sandy beach and 2 small sandy bays. There is also a diving and a surfing school. We should also mention the boat industry which consists of small family businesses, which have preserved the art of building boats according to the old tradition.

Additional information about rental rates

  • The mentioned prices are the basic prices per night for occupancy with 4 people. Babies and small children up to the age of 4 can live here for free. Each extra person has to pay 13 Euros per night. When you ask about the price, please mention the number of people and the age of the children. The heating costs for the electric radiators and the air conditioning will be charged separately, on location, according to electricity usage. When you check in, you will have to pay a security deposit of 150 Euros. The refund will take place on the last evening before your departure day, after the owner checked the house. The final cleaning flat rate is 60 Euros for up to 4 people. For each further person, there is a 10 Euros surcharge for the final cleaning.
  • Linen, dinnerware and towels, table cloths, 2 beach sun shades and an ice chest are available. Linen change and cleaning will take place weekly. You have to bring your own beach towels. Garden tendance, on request. A separate storage room with washing machine is also available.
  • Booking possibilities: When you make the reservation, you will receive a booking confirmation, the way description and the information about car rentals per e-mail or per mail. After you receive these, you have to pay approx. 30 % from the rental rate per cash on delivery to the owner. The balance needs to be paid in cash, when you receive the keys. When you arrive, you will be welcome by a German/English speaker on an appointed meeting place. You will be welcome regardless if you come during the day or at night time. You will be lead to the property, given the key and you will receive information about the house. This person is also authorized to receive the balance for you in the name of the owner. Therefore, you will receive an invoice. We want that you feel secure as an Internet booker.

  • The house accommodates 4 - 5 people and babies. On request, we can provide an extra bed for a 5th person. A children bed and a high chair, as well as a protection against falling are at your disposal for free, on request. Please let us know if you need them, when you make the booking. The beds have ‘German’ covers and pillows. You can use them according to the temperature. In July and August, you can put them back in the closet and just use the linen that we provide for you. The bedrooms offer you enough storage room and they partially have air conditioning. The main bedroom has a door towards the patio. The other bedrooms have windows towards the patio. One of the single bedrooms has built-in furniture. Here you can find a desk, computer furniture and shelves. It is ideal for writing.

Notes: The large living/dining room has a comfortable sofa, armchair, fireplace, satellite TV, dinnerware showcase, and a dining table for 6 people. It is located in the front part of the house and has a small, covered terrace. All the bedrooms and the kitchen are located on the side of the sunny patio which is on the back side of the house. There you can also find the walled barbecue and a lounge. The outdoor kitchen offers an ideal atmosphere for dining in the open air. The built-in kitchen is equipped with dish washer, refrigerator, etc. All the rooms are light. All the windows and doors have folding shutters, so that the rooms are protected from the heat and flooding light. Next to the bedrooms, there is a full bathroom. The shower bathroom with a washing machine is in an annex on the patio. The living room and the lobby have air conditioning. The chilly air from the lobby refreshes the 3 bedrooms. The house is furnished in a traditional Majorcan style, and it has a tiled garage.

Beaches in Porto Colom: Cala Marsal is located in the new part of Porto Colom. This big and easy reachable sandy beach is only 10 minute on foot away from the house. It is ideal for children. It has restaurants and beach bars, canvas chairs, sun shades, showers and pedal boats, etc. It is surrounded by smaller hotels. The parking place is directly by the beach. Cala S'Arenal is located in the oldest part of Porto Colom. This beach is 2 km from the house. It is visited especially by the locals and it is located at the entrance in the port, with a view upon Porto Colom with mountains in the background. Here, you can enjoy the most romantic sunsets. The beach bar in Ibiza style is opened the entire evening.

Beaches in the neighbourhood: Cala Brafi: a small natural beach which can be reached within a small walk. Cala Murada: most of the people bathing here are locals, together with German, Belgian and French tourists who are accommodated in the only hotel. You can park your car directly by the beach. Es Dominigos: this is a very beautiful beach, with deep waters and high waves on windy days. Cala Senau: here you will find a small, fine sandy beach, surrounded by pine woods. Cala Serena, Cala Esmeralda, Cala Gran, Cala Egos, Cala Barca, Cala Mondrago, and many others.

Information for golfers: Within 5 km, there is the golf course Vall D'Or, which is one of the most famous golf courses on Majorca. It has a newly renovated Club House and a fantastic view upon Cala D’Or, as well as upon the port of Porto Colom. This is only a few minutes from the house. There are regular golf courses for beginners and for advanced. Even for the ones who don’t play golf, it is worth a visit. Within 20 km, there is the exclusive Mariott's Golf, Son Antem I und II Resort.

Die Wohnung ist toll eingerichtet und sauber. Wäschewechsel nach einer Woche und Zwischenreinigung sind nicht überall selbstverständlich.
Was ein bisschen störte waren die vielen Hunde in der Nachbarschaft, die sich gegenseitig in Trab gehalten haben und die Bürgersteige und Straßen mit ihren Hinterlassenschaften zierten.

Tolles Ferienhaus mit kompletter Ausstattung, die keine Wünsche offen lässt. Sehr sauber und ordentlich, Ferienhaus wird einmal wöchentlich gereinigt inkl. neuer Bettwäsche und Handtüchern. Sehr nette Eigentümerin, die gerne organisiert was fehlt und zudem sehr gastfreundlich ist. Lage ist ebenfalls super, Supermarkt, Restaurants und der wöchentliche Markt sind zu Fuß sehr gut zu erreichen. Wir kommen gerne wieder ...
