Alpine sports in the summer:
The region offers a perfect vacation for everybody, from individualists to families. There are numerous mountain tours for different levels of proficiency (from walking to climbing tours). Clear mountain lakes invite you to bath. Who doesn’t want to make too much effort can still reach the top of the mountain by the mountain train. Directly in Farchant, there are numerous comfortable walking paths and even kneippism therapies.
Places of interest:
There are many interesting places to visit, for instance the Castle Linderhof, the Castle Schachen, Zugspitze, the Violin Museum in Mittenwald, the carving workshops in Oberammergau and the Monastery Ettal. There are many other famous trip destinations which can be reached by car, for example the Castle Neuschwanstein and the monastery Andechs.
Winter sports:
The Classic Skiing Region around Hausberg (with a new mountain train) and the Kreuzeck with its famous Kandahar and Olympia ski run, as well as skiing regions with a lot of snow on the Zugspitze can be reached directly. There are many ski slopes around Garmisch-Partenkirchen, with all levels of proficiency. If you want more than that, you can use the “Happy Ski Card” (HSC) even on the close slopes on the Austrian Zugspitz arena. There are enjoyable activities even for non skiers, such as a comfortable toboggan run on the valley, while coming back to the house, cross country skiing or hiking on the available hiking tracks.

Golf:
There are golf courses within 3 minutes by car: Burgrain and Oberau. Another attraction is the golf course in Ehrwald, Tyrol. The latter course is located in the famous Zugspitze arena, and can be reached by car within an hour.
