Bienvenue to our super tastefully renovated large 1 bedroom apartment with terrace off the Promenade des Anglais sea-front and downtown Nice, just 10 min by taxi from Nice airport or 20 min by airport bus. The beach, lively restaurants,cafes, shops& all facilities are 2min walk: old Nice 15 min. Enjoy breakfast croissants or your lunchtime wine on the large west-facing terrace. Hop on a local bus or train to visit Antibes, Cannes & Monte Carlo. This large apartment is ideal for 2 people, although it can sleep 4. Modern & tastefully renovated, the original parquet floor has been kept and there is a lovely walk-in wet room style shower & separate WC with top of the range fittings. It also has a brand newfully-equipped breakfast kitchen living room with dishwasher, hob, oven, sofa bed, TV DVD CD system .New for June 2008:UK satellite TV!   • Prices quoted are for 2 people sharing the double bedroom. Please email us to request a quote for 3 or 4 people. No extra charge is made for electric or water although we do ask you to think of the environment and our bills! Our English- & French-speaking Agent is on-hand for trouble-shooting should you need any assistance during your stay. Cleaning of the apartment before and after your stay, bed-linen for the double bed and shower-room towels are all included in the price. A separate £150 security/damages cheque is taken but normally shredded after your stay once the apartment has been checked. There is a £30 supplement for late arrival at the apartment between 9-11pm & a £20 supplement if you require extra towels. Please advise us at time of booking :these are our Agent's extra charges to us.
  • We ask that the apartment is vacated by 11am on the day of departure to allow our Agent access for cleaning.
    In high-season, rental is normally for a minimum of 1 week, Saturday-Saturday but we do try to be as flexible as possible so if this is the apartment for you, email us your preferred requirements, ideally providing flexibility of dates too and we'll see if we can help.
    Enjoy the easy access to a wide range of local eateries on the door-step or eat in and enjoy the fun of shopping in the local markets,supermarches, boulangeries and patisseries.

Designed with a couple in mind, the living-room sofa bed adds sleeping for +2. Just off the Promenade des Anglais, the apartment's position couldn't be better: fly in to Nice airport, hop on the airport bus to the Royal hotel, walk in the apartment & 3min later, you 're on the beach or sipping a glass of wine or soaking up the atmosphere & the sun, watching the world go by. We acquired our beautiful apartment in May 2007: this fantastic Promenade des Anglais beach sea & town access location was just too good to miss! It’s equipped with a luxury brand new fully-fitted kitchen with dish-washer, fridge-freezer,full oven, microwave, electric hob,new kitchen-ware including iron & ironing board,French top-loader washing-machine, all new furniture & fittings including UK & French satellite TV LCD screen DVD & CD player plus a docking station for an I-Pod so that you can listen to your own music.A selection of our CDs and DVDs are available for you to play and paperback novels to read. There is a useful folder of information on places to visit in the area, restaurants, buses and trains. For out of season, this is a great base for visiting the Carnival in February or the Menton lemon festival in March. SKI-ING: the SKI-slopes of Valberg or Isola 2000 Auron are about an hour's drive away.

The walk-in wet-room style luxury shower room, toilet, kitchen & breakfast bar & built-in fitted bedroom wardrobe are all top of the range & contribute to the chic, stylish ,modern & comfortable atmosphere of this apartment, designed ideally for a couple, although with the facility to add on a maximum of 2 people sharing the living-room sofa-bed if required. Eating can be al fresco on the roomy terrace with outside table and 4 chairs, although the stylish breakfast bar and circular glass dining table with 4 chairs offer a cool alternative for those who prefer! A good-size coffee table is provided in the comfortable living-area, which is tastefully-furnished for relaxing and listening to music, watching a DVD or UK satellite TV. A home from home but with all the delights of Nice on your doorstep, we think your stay at Square Royal will be everything you could wish! We ask you to help us maintain the high standard of the apartment so that we and you can hopefully return to enjoy it!

Right on the beach, the position of the apartment couldn't be better: fly in to Nice airport, hop on the airport bus to the Royal hotel, just beyond the famous Hotel Negresco, walk in to the apartment, change & 3 mins later you can be on the beach soaking up the atmosphere & the sun or sitting at a pavement cafe watching the world go by. A city break with beach and sea:it doesn't get much better than this!

Nice at your doorstep

While all my previous visits to Nice had always involved "herding" 40+ teenagers around (school trips), this was a real holiday and my wife's first visit to the Côte d'Azur. Gill's apartment is absolutely perfectly located to not only explore Nice itself, but the area from Monte Carlo to Cannes and all places in between (time allowing, of course). The apartment, very clean and well-equipped, truly provided all the comforts of home and was a welcomed sanctuary to return to after a day of exploring (nothing like a sipping a good Scotch on the terrace before deciding what to do about a meal). We had established an itinerary prior to our arrival, but soon found ourselves making extensive use of the information and suggestions which Gill provides (great meal at "La Maison de Marie" on Rue Messena!). Gill is terrific to deal with, providing quick responses to questions and concerns, and the apartment is well looked after. The only downside was the parking. We had driven to Nice after exploring Tuscany and were returning home from Milano; consequently, we had a car which cost 106 Euros to park (although the car park was just around the corner). Best advice: do not get a car! The transportation system for Nice and area is efficient and inexpensive (e.g. Nice to Monte Carlo - 1 Euro each way); besides, everything of any major interest in Nice is well within walking distance of the apartment. One of the many, many highlights: walking back to the apartment with a just-out-of-the-oven baguette, cheese, and a wonderful bottle of wine - life does not get much better. Gill's apartment comes highly recommended and will hopefully be "home" again in the very near future.

Square Royal Apartment

This is the second time we have stayed at Gill's apartment and once again had a great time. The accomodation is excellent, and beautifully appointed. I don't think you would be disappointed as the apartment really is home from home. Lovely kitchen and every utensil you could possibly need. The agents really do a good job and as promised meet you at the apartment with the keys and to show you around . Everything is spotlessly clean. The situation is fabulous, two entrances, one on the Promenade and one to use at the back if you want to go to the restaurants, shops, old town etc. There is a lift up to 2nd floor and as it is an apartment in a block of others, there are no restaurant smells or noise. Ideal for a relaxing holiday. Gill is a pleasure to deal with and gets back to you right away on any enquiries and provides excellent info on where to go, bus timetables from the airports, she even reviews restaurants (very handy if you have not been before). We would thoroughly recommend this apartment for a lovely week in Nice. A thoroughly genuine property and everything is as it says on the property details.

We stayed for a week this May 09 and the apartment was perfect. Very stylish and clean with a lovely balcony to sit and have breakfast. Location is amazing - so easy to get to from the airport and right in the very heart of all the shops and restaurants - really easy to walk up to the train station too. The fact one exit is straight onto the seafront is perfect. The ipod doc and digital TV made us feel at home and the bed was very comfy. We would definitely stay at the apartment again. Emma and Tim.

It was nice in Nice

This property is ideal if you are looking for an easy, stress free break, we travelled with cabin baggage only, caught the local bus at Nice airport, as recommended by the owner, and found we were at the property to meet the local representative 15 minutes after disembarking, marvellous!
There was everything we needed there, including a well stocked library (sad I know, but I'm a librarian!), and the dual entrance to the apartment block was really useful.
We took the train to Monaco, much easier than driving as we have done previously,and walked for miles around Nice, appreciating the place, rather than just passing through on the way to and from Antibes, where we usually stay.
Overall I can thoroughly recommend this property especially if you are just looking for a short break to recharge your batteries.
