Our very bright flat is modern, tasteful and very comfortably furnished. The spacious living room has a cozy sitting area with chimney, a dining area with space for 6 people and an access to a small balcony. Next door: the complete kitchen with dishwasher and a utility room with washing machine. There are also 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and an en-suite-complete bathroom, the other one with twin beds and a separate shower bathroom. The flat has air-condition (warm and cold). It's on the last (third) floor of a newly built complex with a lift. Some steps lead from the apartment to the very big and private roof terrace with dining area and garden furniture and BBQ. From here you have beautiful views over the little town and the mountains around. The lift leads down to a car park. A lot of restaurants and shops are nearby, only some walking minutes away. These are holidays with Mallorquan people and not in a holiday ghetto.

The attractive, wealthy country town Pollenca (15.000 inhabitants) in the north of the island is quite conservative. This is benefit for its guests, here people still celebrate traditional festivals, nurture traditional crafts (i.e. linen weaving with so-called Ikats) and the beautiful old town-houses. Pollenca can indeed be regarded as one of the art-centres of the island, with its 12 art galleries and the International Music festival which takes place during the summer months. The Sunday market, with fresh fruit and vegetables of the region attracts many guests of the holiday accommodations. The Calvario with its 365 steps is Pollenca's landmark, the monastery mountain Puig de Maria nearby a must to visit. One of the island's most attractive golf-courses (9-hole) is 2 km away, the nice harbor part Port de Pollenca 7 km and the two small but beautiful beach bays of Cala Sant Vicenc as well 7 km. Here you could find a blue-turquoise sea, very recommended for snorkeling and diving.

Komfort in guter Lage

Moderne, geschmackvoll eingerichtete Wohnung mit allem Komfort. Leider hatten wir überwiegend Regenwetter, so dass uns die tolle Dachterrasse nichts nützte. Aber die Wohnung war gut heizbar, trocken und gemütlich; die zwei Badezimmer auch sehr nützlich. Mit vielen Parkplätzen vor der Tür und dem Aufzug im Haus war die Wohnung auch für meine 81 jährige Mutter gut zu erreichen. Die Lage im Ort ist hervorragend: die Altstadt beginnt zwei Straßen weiter, ein Supermarkt ist um die Ecke und gegenüber ist ein Laden mit Internetterminals und Telefonboxen (auch international), der bis 23:00 Uhr offen hat - war für uns wichtig, da das Mobiltelefon kaputtgegangen war. Ganz leise ist so eine zentrale Lage natürlich nicht; hat uns aber nicht gestört. Organisatorisch hat alles prima geklappt: nette Begrüßung und unproblematisches Auschecken.
Für uns als kulturinteressierte Besucher war es die ideale Unterkunft; wir kommen gerne wieder!

Die Lage der Wohnung ist wirklich gut, weil nicht in der Altstadt, die inzwischen Fußgängerbereich wurde und nur sehr schwer per Auto zugänglich ist, gelegen.
Das Wetter spielte diesmal wirklich nicht mit, die drei Damen hatten Pech... vielleicht wird es das nächste Mall besser, so daß die große und schöne Dachterrasse mit Traumblick so richtig genutzt werden kann!
Als Ausgangspunkt für Streifzüge durch Pollenca und auch für Exkursionen rund um die Insel eignet sich dieses Domizil bestens!
