Do you want to combine beach and culture? Then Calafell is the ideal vacation destination. Calafell is 57 km south from Barcelona and 30 km from Taragona, on the sunny Dorada Coast, with wodenrful palm promenade, many shops, restaurants and bars. You have many sport possibilities and a large golf course with beautiful landscape. The neighbouring town has a marina. The 6 km long wide and fine sandy beach is children friendly. The water contains iodine and the bathing season lasts until October. The climate is mild and invites you to stay here in the winter as well. There is a wellness center with Thalasso therapy, opened the whole year through. Doctors, pharmacists and emergency service are available. You also have interesting travelling possibilities: Barcelona (easy to reach by train), the Roman Taragona (World Heritage Site), monasteries and castles (Montserrat, Poblet, Santes Creus), sparkling wine cellar visits in the famous wine and sparkling wine region Penedes, water park.

We rent the side wing, which has the form of a terrace bungalow in Spanish-Arabian style (see picture). It is located on the south hill side, with a large sunny, panoramic terrace which can be entered from the living room, with unique sea view. There is a second covered terrace which also has a sea view over a pergola and decorative fountains in Arabian style (no swimming pools). There are 2 double bedrooms, living-/dining room with access from the terrace, hallway, bathroom and guests’ WC. One of the 2 bedrooms is on the ground floor and can be reached by an exterior stair. This is why it has an extra guests’ WC (sink and WC) and the already mentioned terrace. Because of the room division, this living unit is nor suitable for families with small children. However, it is ideal if the children are already teenagers, as they can occupy the ground floor, where they are more independent.

The special attractions of Calafell are the 6 km long, large, fine sandy beach, the children friendly beach which, thanks to its location is never overcrowded, not even in the summer. Calafell is also a bathing resort for many Spanish vacationers. It is not only for tourists. Thanks to the good train connections, you can reach Barcelona in half an hour. Travelling along the coast, a visit to Barcelona metropolis is almost a must. Taragona (World Heritage Site) is 30 km away, also easy to reach. Even golf players agree that Calafell has a very beautiful golf course with a wonderful landscape, with sea view. Various sport possibilities are available.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Additional costs such as water, electricity and gas are included in the prices for the high and low season. They will be charged additionally only for Easter and Christmas holidays. Only the heating is charged additionally, and the final cleaning is 52 Euro. The prices are valid for the maximum occupancy. Each further person (including children) will have to pay a surcharge of 12 Euro. In the saving season the prices are valid for 2 people. These saving prices don’t include electricity, gas and water. The charge is according to usage. The place in the garage is charged with 4.5 Euro per day. You can bring your own linen, towels and dish towels, as well as table cloth, but you can also rent them from us (except for the dish and bathing towels).
  • On the day of arrival we will ask for a key deposit of 100 Euro. On request, there are special month prices for long term vacationers in the winter.
