This apartment is in a small, well-maintained estate of two storey houses in a tranquil location about 5 min on foot from the town centre, on a hill. Between the house and the sea there is a small town park with ancient tall pines adorning the view of the sea, about 150 m away as the crow flies. You can walk from the apartment in through the park in your slippers to the beach and choose between a long pebble beach or a fine sandy little beach in a wind-protected bay. The apartment is in the 2nd storey of the house, the upper floor reached via broad, easy steps. In total there are 6 small apartments in the house. The floor plan is straightforward: a small hall with a separate WC and opposite a large, airy living/dining room with one large glass sliding door over the whole side wall.

Bandol is a good 50 km east of Marseille and 18 km west of Toulon. At the end of the nineteenth century this former Roman settlement of „Bendorium“ , then a sophisticated bathing resort, had guests such as Thomas Mann, Aldous Huxley and Marcel Pagnol due to its mild, Mediterranean climate. All along the promenade there are luxurious boutiques and lots of charming little restaurants where you can eat the freshly caught fried fish with a glass of fruity rosé or a velvety red wine that Bandol is so famous for. This little town has many attractions such as a yacht harbour, a casino, a Thalasso therapy centre, boat hire, a sailing school, a diving school and also a beautiful daily market in front of the old church, only a few steps away from the house. In the surrounding mountains it’s well worth visiting Le Beausset and La Cadiere, or hiking along the 'chemin des douaniers' on the remarkable coastal cliffs. Sandy and pebble beaches.

War einfach super, sehr sauber, auch der Kühlschrank & das Bad! Auf dem schönen Balkon kann man wunderbar frühstücken und nach dem Strand relaxen. Bloß die Toilette war etwas klein - aber wenn man keine Stunden auf dem Örtchen verbringen will ist sie absolut ausreichend.

Zum Strand und zum Stadtkern (Hafen) sinds nur 10 min zu Fuß. Land und Leute haben uns auch sehr gefallen, man sollte jedoch Französisch Kenntnisse mitbringen, denn die meisten Speisekarten gibts auch nur auf Französisch. Die Restaurants in der Gegend sind nicht ausgezeichnet, aber schmecken im Großen und Ganzen ganz gut.

Von Bandol aus kann man wunderbar die Gegend erkunden und Land & Leute kennenlernen.
