Notes: The whole apartment is absolutely spacious and offers plenty of space for the whole family or 2 couples friendly. She is nice and sehrt lovingly furnished and offers 2 sides of a gigantic lake. We loved Lake Como & Varenna was a lovely town with many restaurants, small cobbled streets & the ferry which takes you to Mennagio, Belagio, Villa Carlotta & some other small towns.

The apartment was quite a way out of Varenna located up a tight mountain road. You could walk down to Varenna via some steep stairs in about 15 mins, but the walk up was quite exhausting & took around 30mins. We had a car & used this to get around. The road wrapped around the apartment which meant some noise from the cars & trucks that honk their horns prior to turning the sharp corner.

The view from the apartment was stunning & at night was especially beautiful.

We travelled with our young baby & with the apartment having stairs to access it & hard tiled floors I wouldn't reccommend it to others with babies.

Wir haben die Wohnung kurzfristig für 2 Nächte gebucht. Die Lage ist super, oberhalb von Varenna, sehr schöner Ausblick aus allen Zimmern. Balkon sehr schmal. Ausstattung ist einfach, aber nett - kein Luxus erwarten! Das Haus macht von aussen einen abgewohnten, heruntergekommenen Eindruck. Innen ist aber alles renoviert. Das Bett war leider nicht besonders bequem. Man darf auch nicht pingelig sein bezüglich Sauberkeit. Die Couch sowie der Tisch auf dem Balkon sollten auch erneuert werden. Was wir auch nicht wussten, das Haus befindet sich direkt an einer Kurve (rundum), und die Italiener hupen beim reinfahren, da die Kurve nicht einsehbar ist. So war es bis abends immer sehr laut, von Ruhe keine Spur... Nachts bei geschlossenen Fenstern wars jedoch ok. Alles in allem waren wir zufrieden, da der Ausblick schon für vieles entschädigt hat. Man muss aber schon gut zu Fuss sein, um ohne Auto in den Ort (und wieder zurück) zu kommen. Es gibt eine Treppe, also man muss nicht auf der Strasse laufen, aber die Treppe ist sehr steil (gutes Schuhwerk erforderlich). Familien mit Kindern sind also aufs Auto angewiesen. Varenna selbst ist wirklich sehr schön - ein Ort mit Flair, viele kleine Gassen, malerische Aussichten. Unbedingt die Burgruine besichtigen!

Hiermit möchten wir uns nochmals für den tollen Urlaub und die Tips bedanken, die Sie uns gegeben haben.Die Wohnung war sehr schön und gemütlich und die wunderschöne Aussicht, die wir jeden Morgen und jeden Abend von unserer Wohnung genießen durften werden wir lange nicht vergessen und überlegen jetzt schon diesen Sommer wieder zu kommen.
